December national holidays

Post by BobHelm » December 3, 2016, 7:06 pm

5th. December is the Late individual, His Majesty individual Bhumipol Adulyadej birthday.
In the distant past this used to be a Bar closed day. However, from memory, this view had been rather relaxed over the last couple of years - partly due to views from His Majesty himself, I was led to believe.
However given the current situation of his passing & the year long Government employees' mourning I wondered how it would be enforced this year??
Anyone any news??

10th. December is Constitution Day, but a Saturday so the 'official' holiday is actually Monday 12th. December.
I will try not to make comments about the suitability of this holiday during the actual current situation, but I imaging that the local Immigration offices will be closed on Monday 12th. & some ATMs might be moneyless come early Tuesday...
