Thats the problem, Australia has one of the highest incidence of melanomas, due to the UV Hole in the Ozone layer over Oz and sadly no one years ago, knew what to look for.

Years ago they focused on public education for the next generation, Slip Slop Slap etc

Here are a few good links from accredited government health sites

https://www.cancer.org.au/content/pdf/H ... endums.pdf ( sorry its 183 pages )

Well I lucked out caught things early

Bowen's disease itself isn't usually serious. It tends to grow very slowly over months or years, and there are several very effective treatments for it.
The concern is that Bowen's disease can eventually develop into a different type of skin cancer called squamous cell skin cancer if it's left undiagnosed or neglected.
It's estimated this happens in up to 1 in 20 to 1 in 30 people with untreated Bowen's disease.
Squamous cell skin cancer is often treatable, but it can spread deeper into the body and is sometimes very serious.

I guess if it look's odd worth checking out

I recently had eleven spots checked in that process I visited all three private hospitals. They were all good price varied a lot. Bangkok one surgically removed lab test around 8 K. Watana dermatologist two removed with laser 3 K baht. AEK cancer DR. 8 removed cost 28K.

Me I would use Wattana now that I know what to expect. I can't use Wattana for in hospital care it's not on my insurance list.

AEK still requires cash upfront, in this case I saw a specialist and knew I would pay up front. One difference from my last visit there they did submit the bill to my insurance company for me.

So for in hospital it's still Bangkok Hospital for the major things that are covered.

Minor illness Wattana or the Army Hospital. Service was great at all of them it's a matter of cost and who is paying.

Wattana offered Nitrogen, laser and surgery

Is Aldara (imiquimod cream) available in Udon. I used to buy it at Lazada, but it's no longer available.
