not looking good for NRL numbers Sydney 15000 a game !!

A shame really, TV has slowly overtime screwed the numbers, timing of the games and what day or night.
Years ago you could go and watch 3 games, 3rd grade midday, 2nd grade about 1.30 and then 1st grade 3pm. Now they have 1 game.

The numbers of punters attending are of no concern to the money men. Look at the billions being thrown at the game and clubs for TV rights.

True mate Swans do get good numbers averaging 36,000 a game, but only when you are winning, when you were being flogs earlier this year numbers dropped plus the away games are most likely attended more than the home games at the SCG.
GWS has a share of the limited Sydney supporter numbers pie these days but their numbers have plateaued now and not rising, the same can be said for the Swans. Your Sydney supporter base has peaked for some time now.
Swans were lucky they were adopted by the City of Sydney before the GWS team and took the sympathy and novelty supporter numbers, people who wanted to follow something new.
An average of 55,000 between the 2 Sydney teams in a city much larger city than Melbourne with a much better climate where with the lovely winter weather there are other things to do on a weekend besides footy is I suppose an achievement and well done. You deserve some accolades for that.
