De Walt repairs
Anyone know where I can get a De Walt drill repaired?
The forest was shrinking daily but the trees kept voting for the axe as its handle was made of wood and they thought it was one of them.
Re: De Walt repairs
Tool Pro were the B&D (De Walt) official agents able to carry out both chargable and guarantee repairs, don't know if they still are but worth a try.

I thought they'd gone, glad to hear they're still there. Thank you.

The tool store almost directly across from the satellite post office on Sri Suk Rd does tool repairs. Not sure if they'll do De Walt.

To be honest I think it only needs new brushes so I think most repair shops could do it. Thanks.

' In my experience that's highly unlikely a set of carbon brushes are normally good for at least 100 running hours.vincemunday wrote: ↑October 10, 2017, 3:06 pmTo be honest I think it only needs new brushes so I think most repair shops could do it. Thanks.
If you are seing sparks ringing around the armature that's an overload burn out, needing an armature replacement possibly a new field as well, if both , chuck it, uneconomical to repair. However if you want to try replacing the brushes first you will get them here .https://www.ereplacementparts.com/black ... =&utm_term
Or Black & Decker service center in Bangkok might be able to help.https://allservicecenters.com/Black-and ... 04088.html

Re: De Walt repairs
Bearing in mind my drills saw a long life in a joinery your 100 hour guesstimate may well be correct, I'll go with my instincts, thanks for the advice.

Vince have you noticed it sparking more then usual if so it is indeed excessive brush wear De-Walts are solid but the brush's are still Carbon just get em replaced and make sure they give the Armatur a good clean.
