UNSWORTH: NO NEWS

In case you missed this news we brought you earlier, Everton caretaker manager David Unsworth, who is taking part in a charity sleepover at Goodison Park, says there is no update on the manager's job.

I'll just report it ........ over to you TAXI
I was waiting for someone to suggest that the whole Everton first team squad have been on a "permanent sleepover" since 12th August but I guess that's not going to happen ! :-s

Latest news from Goodison Park.......
Watford have rejected an approach from Everton for their highly-rated Portuguese manager Marco Silva.
Silva, 40, has only been in charge for 11 Premier League games at Vicarage Road after leaving Hull City following their relegation last season.
Everton had made him their prime target to succeed the sacked Ronald Koeman, but the Hornets are determined to reject any attempts to lure Silva away.
It now remains to be seen whether the Toffees intensify their interest.
Everton under-23 coach David Unsworth is currently in caretaker charge after Koeman was sacked less than 24 hours after the 5-2 home defeat by Arsenal on 22 October.
Unsworth has won only one of his four games in charge, ironically a 3-2 victory against Silva's Watford after coming from two goals down.
Former England manager Sam Allardyce has been linked with the Everton job on a short-term basis, while Burnley's Sean Dyche is another name that has been touted as taking over at Goodison Park.Others like Glenn Roeder,Donald Trump and Ken Dodd are believed to have distanced themselves from the job.
Silva, however, has now moved to the top of Everton's list to take over permanently from Koeman.
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.

Scouse postmen are to receive a performance related bonus this month due to the number of managerial refusals they have had to deliver to Goodison Park

Question:- Given that agents get a ridiculous % for arranging a transfer for a player, do families/friends/collegues/clubs or whoever get a % FROM THE AGENT when they get the player to change Agents?

Seems that a player making an agent transfer is now almost as big news as a player making a team transfer :-s

Arsne Wenger has revealed in his latest press conference that Theo Walcott has his heart set on a transfer to Everton in January.
Wenger said that Theo came to his office last week and asked if he could teach him how to be a "number 10".
He is also known to have pleaded with Jack Wiltshire recently to swop shirts till January as he feels that playing in the Number 10 shirt is his best chance of being noticed by the Everton Scouting team.

LUIS ENRIQUE RETURN?

Former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique is preparing to return to management next season, reports Sport.

The Spaniard, who collected nine trophies during his time in charge of the Catalan giants, is currently without a club after leaving Barcelona at the end of last season.

However, he is keen to return to management in the future and is already listening to offers from various clubs.

Now all he needs is an owner of a club who wants to hire a "big name" foreign manager with absolutely NO experience of keeping a club from being relegated :-k  #-o

Not much longer to wait 747 ...

I have it from Very good authority that if the last ditch (12m + plus add ons) for Silva fails, they have a deal agreed and waiting to be signed by LvG

He'd also be the only one with experience of having Juan Mata in his team (Could already be a done deal I hear to be reunited in January?)

And of course he is the master at getting b*gger all out of Rooney & Morgan Schneiderlin

On the bright side for Toffee fans is that they are at least being turned down by half decent managers ....... West Ham got turned down by everyone except Moysie and poor old baggies have just been turned down by Gary Megson ](*,) :crying:

From msn sport

A shame but...... ;)

Louis van Gaal has been speculatively linked with the Everton job in recent times.
The experienced Dutchman was reportedly lined up to take the reins at Goodison Park, with Everton’s hunt for a manager continuing to drag on for almost a month now.
However, Van Gaal discussed the prospect of joining Everton with Carrie Brown and insisted that he was not interested in the role. [-X
Van Gaal has been out of work since being sacked by Manchester United in 2016 and is seemingly willing to return to the Premier League one day, but for a bigger club than Everton. :D
The Toffees have not yet replaced Ronald Koeman at the helm of the club and have overseen a considerably mixed spell under caretaker boss David Unsworth.
It’s looking as though Watford boss Marco Silva is Everton’s first choice target, but the Hornets are determined to keep hold of their impressive manager.
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.

Not a rumour, but it didn't seem to fit anywhere else..

Brazilian footballer Robinho (ex Man City) has been sentenced to nine years in prison for taking part in the gang rape of a woman in Milan in 2013.
