Currency exchange kiosks.
Does anyone know if the currency exchange kiosks at Don Muang are open all night,or what time they close ?
Re: Currency exchange kiosks.
If there are International Passengers coming in, I'm sure they WILL Be Open 24 Hours....But You only get a very POOR Rate there,You know that Don't You ??

747 can you give an example of very poor rate on the ground here in Udon etc
eg Gold Shop vs banks are only 50-80 satang difference from my experience recently
The Banks at Swampy , have the same rates as they do down town , no commissions
7% better spread from the Thai banks than Australian conversion to baht , plus % commissions, plus fees with Travelex

Wazza, I've ALWAYS Found that the Banks at BOTH The Bangkok Airports are at least 1 Baht Less than you'd get in Town, Sometimes I've seen them as low as 2 Baht less to the GBP at Swampy.....But only makes a difference IF You're changing up a Large Wad.....wazza wrote: ↑December 22, 2017, 6:36 pm747 can you give an example of very poor rate on the ground here in Udon etc

Last week I bought USD at a Kiosk in Swampy at 33.13 Baht - NO fees and the Official Rate on that day was 32.74 Baht. Both Siam Bank and Kasikornbank Exchanges were offering the same rates. One CANNOT say that is being screwed!
I'm sure Don Muang would have been the same rates at the time.
BTW:- There was no problem getting any denomination of USD I wanted (for a Cambodian trip).

Same again inside , once immigration was processed.
