Re: 2017 Ashes Tour
I Think Z , its an immigration law, applies to all persons who have these convictions... ( lets hope not guilty for crickets sake )
Character test applies for his visa:
" they have a substantial criminal record
they have been convicted of any offence while in immigration detention
they have an association with an individual or group suspected of being involved in criminal conduct
that having regard to the person’s past and present criminal conduct, the person is found not to be of good character
that having regard to the person’s past and general conduct the person is found to be not of good character
there is a significant risk that the person will engage in criminal conduct in Australia "

Re: 2017 Ashes Tour
They are using this law to deport all Kiwis and other criminals , with convictions over 12 months in jail,
As soon as they are released they are then taken to an immigration detention centre and their visa cancelled and deported.
Or if they leave Oz for a holiday , once overseas they cancel their Visa for Oz and not permitted back.
They might ping JJ on importing wood and not having it treated etc
( thinking how to contact Customs as I type )

Well we have proved we cant play a 50 over game with the team we keep persisting with.
No idea why they bought Cameron White into the side as T Heads replacement, Maxwell must have done something really wrong not to get in the side. Have watched T head in the big bash league games and he is where he should be, not in the Aussie side yet.
Well done to England on taking a 3-0 lead.

Re: 2017 Ashes Tour
Rumours are the next Shane Warne has been found in the U/19 World Cup tournament.
Lloyd Pope’s leg spin took England from 0-47 to all out 96.
He got 8-35 a new u/19 World Cup tournament record.

Barney
I took 4-0 off 2 and 5/18 one day as a junior leggie
Made it to the Tasmanian U19s Vs Western Australian U19s played in Launceston.
We lost the toss, they batted and 1/417 at stumps , some Guy called Geoff Marsh scored over 250....many off me.
I chose Emergency Medicine over leggies , more money in it then , LOL
PS Swampy was billeted at my parents place that game , nicked his WA Cap 55555

I watched the game live whilst back in the UK and this kid looked exceptional. One delivery which took out the English captain and best player was unplayable.

Re: 2017 Ashes Tour
He has a wrong un , that they say is better than Warnies ( or mine )
Hope they dont push him too fast and too early. and certainly dont compare him to an individual of Spin , until he has 100 test wickets , ( in his first series anyway )

Re: 2017 Ashes Tour
62-for 6 off 22.. A ton looks a challenge for the batting side at the moment..
Re: 2017 Ashes Tour
Ah ye of little faith.. we made 100..
117-for 7 off 31....If we bat the full 50 it will be almost as good as winning..

Re: 2017 Ashes Tour
Well after the debacle of the last 1 dayer England batsmen have a lot to prove in Perth today.
Australia win the toss & in a brand new stadium with no idea what the pitch will do, put England in to bat.
Much press praise for the actual stadium, a few early doubts raised about the pitch however.
Jason Roy got England off to a flyer though before he was out 1 short of his 50, that was for the second time to be honest, but the first time was off a no ball.
England are 72 for 1 off 12 overs..

Re: 2017 Ashes Tour
Latest : England 177-4 after 33 overs......should be looking at a total of around 300,I guess ??
Also out....Bairstow 45,Hales 35 and Morgan 3.

Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.
Re: 2017 Ashes Tour
259 all out not finished the 50 overs again (47.4).
Australia kept getting wickets, which seems to be the prime thing to do in the 1 day game.
The top 4 English batsmen all had a start & then fell. Root top scored with 62.
Unless the pitch is a real swine, or it is a day night game, then batting first & not getting 300 (a run a ball) is not giving the opposition much to panic about in their innings.
A new pitch & so no 'par' score, but England have under done it by at least 60 looking at their innings..
