Looks like your worst nightmare come true if you're a Trump fan, Barack's Coming Back To Politics.

"Obama Is Returning to Politics in 2018, and Trump Should Be Worried"
https://www.yahoo.com/news/obama-return ... 25881.html

So far it looks like he'll stump for existing candidates? Best way to handle this is join the band KISS and go on tour within the next few weeks, in all the battleground states, bam, congress goes full tilt blue mode right in time for Christmas.
If President Donald Trump and the Republican Party were already worried about defending their majorities in the House and Senate come November, they will now have another major factor to contend with: Barack Obama.

Related: What Barack Obama has been up to since leaving the White House

The former president enjoyed a busy year since leaving the White House but has largely stayed under the radar. Now Obama is reportedly planning to return to the political stage in 2018, setting the stage for a prominent role in the lead up to the crucial midterm elections.

Trending: Donald Trump Is Not Racist Because 'Green' Is Only Color He Sees, Eric Trump Says As He Defends His Father on Fox News

Close associates to the 44th president predict a politically active year, including campaign stops and other displays of public support. Obama will "continue to be politically active in 2018, with more endorsements and more campaigning," his spokeswoman Katie Hill told The Chicago Tribune.
While Trump has recorded record low approval ratings for a president at the end of his first year, Obama has only become more popular in retirement with a favorability rating of over 60 percent. Near the end of 2017, Obama even polled with a higher approval rating than Trump in the ruby-red state of Alabama.

So Obama's appearance on the campaign trail should scare Trump and Republican candidates across the board. In a September poll, 52 percent of respondents to a poll said they wished that Obama were still in office. An active role by the former president in the 2018 elections is likely to further fire up an already energized Democratic base.

In 2017, Obama made just a single campaign appearance, showing up in Virginia to campaign for the ultimately victorious then-candidate Ralph Northam. In 2018, he will trump that number.

When Bayrack was in office, most candidates lost when Obama campaigned for them. I hope he gets involved and brings Hillary with him.

I was so happy when Obama threw his weight behind the then UK PM Cameron over Brexit, advocating UK remain in EU. He actually believed the UK electorate liked him. Joke. He actually massively bolstered the 'leave' vote'.

Yes, as in politics everywhere, incumbents and wannabe's need to be very, VERY aware of the KOD (kiss of death) endorsement. Just ask Roy Moore...

BTW, has he officially conceded yet?

With regard to "most candidates lost" mentioned above, turnovers in contested state House and Senate races so far in 2017.

Democrats 6 v 0 Republicans

Maybe the GOP playbook includes self-imposed term limits already? Or maybe there's (still) a whole lotta foot shootin' goin' on?

If you believe Obama's 'endorsement' massively bolstered anything on the other side of the pond, the 'joke' is entirely in your head. I seriously doubt the Sunderland voters cared about what Obama had opined.

And he liked to do it after he scolded America for being too involved in other countries prior to his election. 555

Just "a poll"? That's it? A reference to an anonymous poll?

And there I was thinking we were about to be offered credible research.

Brexit happened because a former British PM, full of his own importance placed that and his clamoring for a place in British history above and beyond the will and well being of the British electorate that had (barely) given him the job in the first place. Note the emphasis.

BTW, when it comes to "...what Obama liked to do", the current POTUS hasn't been too quiet about rendering the rumored, post-Brexit, UK-US trade deal still-born if he doesn't get a wedding invite.

I know, I know... fake news.

But you started it.

Trump is not a nice guy but is a good president and a lot better than hillary
All good stuff except for the 'but Hillary' bit.

I am 101% onboard with the sentiment that Hillary as POTUS would be a whole helluva lot worse but saying Trump is good because he's better than Hillary isn't really a ringing endorsement IMHO.
yes you are right but i meant it is better to have trump as president than hilary . Would have been better if the loony left had picked a better candidate that was good and not corrupt and not have trump as president but that did not happen ,and he has performed above my expectations and though the snowflakes scream about small insignificant things , i cannot see anything he has done thats really bad in the last year

Polls .Yes you are correct, they are irrelevant, but a poll , called a referendum, when ALL who are elligable to vote and can vote, VOTE, then this is a serious poll , and the ONLY poll to be considered. The MAJORITY of that referendum voted to LEAVE EU..........................QED

Industrial output up, jobless down, retail sales up, GDP up, hard figures to argue with. Only real fly in the ointment is new house starts down. There also seems to be added confidence among big businesses, perhaps they are enjoying the economic upturn as well as the tax breaks.

I do not think sending a link to Bloomberg is a valid comment. The so called news channel has an agenda like so many channels falsley claiming to be fair and impartial, and as such has to treated with caution.

It is moronic to give weight or credence to any numbers put out by the Trump administration.

They've purged the career public servant leadership ranks and installed appointed cronies who have no experience or business running the agencies they control.

This is the Pravda 2.0.1.8 era. Orwell was a prophet, it seems. :-"

Edit: Ben Carson, the coocoo for Cocoa Puffs former neurosurgeon and Republican token boy is running HUD, the department responsible for those housing numbers... =;

Moronic strange word for giving credence to numbers . Who would be moronic ?
