Re: Will Trump make the Grade.
1. The market trend is well established .The markets always go through huge periods of volatility in every midterm election year since 1962. Market declines have been at least 7.4% in each of the last 28 periods. So far, this decline has registered in the neighborhood of 10%. Nothing really unusual.
2. A POTUS is never indicted by any authority other than Congress in the impeachment process. Mueller may provide his findings to Congress, but that's it.

Re: Will Trump make the Grade.
I must disagree, there is nothing in the constitution baring a President from being indicted. That being said Mueller does not have the authority to indict Trump based on his appointment by the Justice Department and must follow their rules. You must also know an indictment can not remove a President from office, leagally that can only be done by impeachment.
Re: Will Trump make the Grade.
I opine that given the awesomeness of the legal team Mueller assembled and the meticulous manner in which that team is proceeding, I think he is going for a first: The indictment of a sitting POTUS. =D>
The evidence must be overwhelming, obviously. I think he may also reach beyond obstruction and possibly go for treason/conspiracy; or at least use treason/conspiracy as the bargaining chip to settle for an obstruction plea or resignation. I've been following Mueller's follow-the-money strategy. That strategy has been flipping former Trump people like Go stones. He's obviously already got Trump dead-to-rights on money laundering and violation of Article I of the Constitution (Emoluments Clause aka bribery). Treason or conspiracy are very high standards, but he seems to be building a solid case for either or both in parallel with the obstruction case.
Recall that Trump gave Israel's classified intelligence to the Russians. Why? Trump has taken multiple secretive meetings with the Russians before and since the elections. Why? Prior to elections, there was the server in Trump Tower communicating with Russian servers. Why? There were multiple people on his Team meeting and communicating with Russians - and LYING about it. Why? These are all just SOME of the things made public. There are multiple FISA warrants in play, too.
There may at least be a conspiracy charge in there somewhere. Mueller is investigating all that and has already flipped multiple key witnesses having intimate knowledge.
The smart play would be to charge Trump with multiple serious offenses. Not just obstruction. I opine he would prefer to wait until an announcement would have the most advantageous impact to flip both houses of Congress so that he could get an impeachment in the House AND a conviction in the Senate.
Per the Constitution:
“The president, vice-president, and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.”
Go big or go home. Mueller is absolutely going B-I-G!

A formal indictment means formal charges. Those can only be brought by Congress.
An accusation can be made against anyone -- with or without evidence -- but that doesn't automatically result in formal charges, and never against a sitting POTUS.
The impeachment process is the only venue that can bring formal charges.

Stan is not wrong (and neither am I). Skippy the troll needs to do more Googling. Again. We can all carry the conversation without Skippy the troll.
I suggest all Google "can mueller indict trump" and read up from credible sources. Opinions vary which means it is NOT settled law. It is to be decided by the Courts.

Yes, as with all of his other posts, it looks like all wishful thinking and hopefulness based on The Intellectual's hate for Trump and whatever else. Rachel and Mother Jones (they wish the same) could be some of the ones feeding this frenzy. He admitted from jump that it was all opinion (opine), so I'll take it as such.

Re: Will Trump make the Grade.
So, in addition to colluding with Russia to steal the election, obstructing the FBI investigation into that and the subsequent cover-up, and a plethora of other malfeasance and criminal acts, the latest scandal is that Trump allowed someone (Rob Porter) who FAILED security clearance by the FBI to be the gatekeeper of America's most sensitive and secretive intelligence for almost an entire year. Porter's job was to accept classified documents and decide what gets to Trump's desk. For almost an ENTIRE YEAR (!!!).
Someone had to have waived his security clearance, but nobody seems to know who is directly responsible. Well, regardless who that might be, Trump is ultimately responsible for anything and everything that happens on his watch. Especially when the perp is literally in his presence frequently and daily.
Of course, the undereducated are unable to comprehend the gravity of what is happening. So let's just sum it up as :
Trump = bad, stupid man
Trump supporters = stupider than bad, stupid man

Re: Will Trump make the Grade.
- NO EVIDENCE OF THAT and pretty damn difficult with 50 different states tabulating ballots in the Electoral College System -- and the fact that Hillary won the popular vote. 555colluding with Russia to steal the election
- NO EVIDENCE OF THATobstructing the FBI investigation into that and the subsequent cover-up
- PROVIDE THEM with facts, not your usual opining hopefulness. 55555a plethora of other malfeasance and criminal acts
You're trying to win an argument that no one is making regarding Porter. Sane, thoughtful people usually wait until all the facts are gathered -- unlike those suffering from TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome).the latest scandal is that Trump allowed someone (Rob Porter) who FAILED security clearance by the FBI to be the gatekeeper of America's most sensitive and secretive intelligence for almost an entire year. Porter's job was to accept classified documents . . .
I've gotta ask, even though a tad off topic. Where were you when Bayrack was acting unilaterally to send troops into battle in Libya, making law, rewriting law and lying to everyone about ObamaCare? The investigation is just beginning on the unmasking fiasco. That will all be fodder for new thread when that gets underway full throttle.
And Hillary's pay-to-play scheme with her foundation and uranium to Russia? That's just getting warm, too.
At least those are factual occurrences.
You're making up sh* t again, but at least you are persistent.

Lone Star you maybe getting trolled by artificial intelligence (AI). I'd be wary, no good getting in to a political debate with a bot. Maybe that's why we are all uneducated, fascist, racist, white supremacists, could it be possible that we are being overrun by bots and not even safe in Thailand on some obscure social media platform in Udon Thani?

Re: Will Trump make the Grade.
Porter had an "interim" clearance, evidently at the Top Secret/Special Compartmented Information level. Remember, we're not talking about a normal government worker or military member requiring such a clearance. We're talking about a political member of the President's staff. That's why he had the high level "interim" clearance. Now, when you start talking timelines it appears the FBI notified the White House Personnel Security Office a number of times of Porter's status to include his domestic abuse issues. That office is the one that makes final adjudication of the clearance. In my opinion due to the Porter's political position within the White House the FBI input was slow rolled until the media and the abuse victims went public... I'd like to hear how many political members of previous administrations held such high level "interim" clearances for over a year....
