Just another example of all the misdirected hiso movie stars and other merit making animal rights activists looking for big face and big perks in their idea of heaven. Instead of focusing on the poor and under privileged humans in this society that are created in the image of God, they are compelled to support the agenda of the devil and waste their time and resources on creatures that have no soul. Same thing happens in my village day after day as the locals go down the street to the lake in the park and feed the fish while believing they are storing up big merit for themselves in heaven instead of finding other villagers in need and being a blessing to them. It's all part of the Thai lazy syndrome! Feeding the fish is just a whole lot easier and cheaper for them. Throwing the fish a few slices of week old bread or rice is certainly easier and cheaper than reaching in their wallets and having to fork out some real money to feed a human in need.
Colossians 2:8-10...See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, which are based on human tradition and the spiritual forces of the world rather than on Christ. For in HIM dwells all the fullness of the GODHEAD bodily; and you are complete in HIM, who is the head of all principality and power.

The owner is responsible for the damage they create. But the victim needs to report it did that happen?

I may be wrong but i think the decree came from the previous individual due to his love of dogs unfortunatley in the real world this is allowing for total caos every day I have dogs threating me I do admit if they have owners or regular feeders they do try call them back but if no ones there it can be a pain especially when I have my daughter with me the matter needs sorting but wont be as usual

the current animal cruelty law was passed in 2014.. http://www.thailawforum.com/thailand-go ... abuse-law/
After passing it a number of high visibility cases were prosecuted with one fellow getting six years in jail for severely beating a dog.. I found that amazing as I was aware of some rather sordid murder cases where the perpetrator pleaded guilty and got about the same time...
As for the instance at the head of the thread.. Where did it happen?? In our village if dogs did something like this the owner would be held responsible and likely since a monk was involved the authorities would get involved...

I highly doubt it was 7 pitbulls. Everyone wants to make it sound worse by accusing pits. I have had 7 in my life, all great dogs. I still feel the dog situation in Thailand is out of control.Mudguard wrote: ↑May 17, 2018, 10:05 am68 y o Monk on his morn rounds yesterday gets attacked by 7 pit bull dogs n has 50 bite marks n nothing happens to the mongrel killing machine dogs...or, the owner....

It was reported in The Nation, as being 10 Pitbulls. There's a pic of the Monk sitting up in bed, with several small bites.
If it was 10 or 7, or even 1 Pitbull, he'd be dead.

A few years ago, there was no dog problem. A truck came around about once a week. We called it the bucket truck because they would give you a plastic bucket for a stray or problem dog. Yes, the dogs would then be sold for food. Cruel? Maybe, but, is rabies better. If you could see how the farmers kill chicken killing dogs, you would think the bucket truck was a much better solution.
THEN, a group of concerned farangs began complaining and convinced politicians that this practice must be outlawed. The authorities stopped this business and confiscated over a thousand dogs. The farangs were happy and they thought this was the end of it. What they gave no thought to was what was going to happen to all those confiscated dogs. Those dogs were put in a huge pen with no money to feed them. They starved to death. How cruel was that?
I should add that I am a dog lover but stray dogs are a problem with no solution now. Sterilizing these dogs would be great but who is going to pay for it.

Agree 100% with last post. Dog population getting way out of hand, I see dead ones daily on the side of the road victim of accident or caused one. Problem was handled before....and a plastic bucket to boot!!!

Agree. The monk would be a bloody pulp with that many dogs -- even if they weren't pitbulls.Faraday wrote: ↑May 18, 2018, 6:11 amhttp://www.nationmultimedia.com/detail/ ... s/30345545

"Humans that are created in the image of God"
"support the agenda of the Devil" (capital letter please)
"creatures that have no soul"....

If the animals are feral because of the population's Buddhist beliefs, it's poetic justice. The monk likely forgives the dogs.
