Growing up it was The adventures of Rin Tin TIn, my grandfather had a German Shepherd and I called him naturally Rinnie. Gooooooo Rinnie. Rusty and Biff were the team.

And for a Canadian show and keeping to the same dog theme was The Littlest Hobo.
That's all we needed as a kid.

Sport, I'm a '56 baby the same year TV was introduced to aussie land and sat on the floor and watched it all on a Black and White PYE TV. Those were the days. \:D/

Thinking about it, I wonder if it was on AFTER something like Grandstand on a Sat early evening or after a kids programme ..... that would explain why I remember the progs theme tune and nothing else about it :-k

Daydreaming again today at lunch and a show popped into my grey matter...had completely forgotten this show.
Loved this show as a kid. Totally futuristic well ahead of time. Has that constant radar ping through the show.
Still the best looking submarine ever. ???

Tales of the Riverbank had Canadian "actors" Hammy the hamster etc etc were all from Canada and filmed there.

Dont think Johnny Morris was a Canuk though, but I might be wrong
