Raise a glass of rioja to the Spanish, for they are soon to be the nation with the longest life expectancy in the world.

By 2040, according to a new report by the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, the Spanish are expected to have an average lifespan of 85.8 years, outliving even the Japanese, who have long headed the global longevity tables. And outliving those of us in the UK by almost 2.5 years.

Lot to be said for that manyana attitude .

Hmm ,interesting article , i have a lot of Spanish relatives , none have died young , there are 4 who are in their 90's , not one of the clan has ever paid into the system ,but 7 of them are on pensions , (gov) if this is the tip of the iceberge (and i believe it is ,) where's all the money coming from , and it would seem a lot of the Mediterainian country's are alike ,then bring on Brexit , for me ,

Perhaps it because they are unlikely to wear themselves out, the unemployment there is out of control, with 33.6% youth unemployment and an average of 16% in adults things aren't looking great.

Because THEY Have a 4 Hour Kip Everyday,& Then Go to Bed at night as well......Must Sleep for 16 Hours out of 24....Oh ! What a GOOD Life.......Loadsa Kip.....
