Tradition

Post by frankieboy37 » December 10, 2018, 8:37 pm

As today is Constitution Day in Thailand I made the effort to duckduckgo (a serious plug for a break with an early 21st century tradition) and discovered that the Queen of England is older than the current Thai constitution. Due to my ignorance of Thai history (I had a rough idea of how old the Queen is), I was surprised. I am interested to know…, well principally, if those who take the time and effort to contribute to this forum feel sufficiently interested to make yet another contribution on this particular subject. I would underline though that I am not, per se, inviting comment on my limited understanding of Thai history, unless you really insist, because I have noticed that often the thread does degenerate to comments about people’s ignorance.

I've floated rafts, sent lighted lanterns into the sky, got soaked to the skin at songkran as well as having scented water drizzled over my neck and having me and the car covered with talcum powder and ice cubes, but ive never heard of anything for Constitution Day :-k
Never ever heard of duckduckgoing :-s Where did it take place? Is it anything like at the Village Fetes in England where you have to duck in a barrel for apples?

Never heard of it either .
I do find it amusing that they still have a Constitution day , when clearly , they do not have a true constitution .

If there is no Constitution to have Constitution Day for, why were all the bars closed a couple of years back to vote on changes to the constitution ...... were we robbed of a weekends drinking for nothing :crying:

"Duckduckgo is an internet browser.",

If it is an internet browser, what the 'ell has it got to do with Constitution Day

"As today is Constitution Day in Thailand I made the effort to duckduckgo"
