A good 3 points for the mighty whites last night. Not the best of performances, but a win is a win.
And all in front of over 5,500 travelling Leeds fans.
Sheffield, over to you!

The future's bright, the future's white.

Next game for Leeds - Sheffield Wednesday in the late KO on Saturday. Sure to be a feisty one.

If the unthinkable happens and they DO go up, at least it will give Jimmy Milner somewhere to go for his last few seasons :-$

A scintillating performance by Leeds United against Sheffield Wednesday last night. Could and should have had more than 1 goal, but all's well that ends well. :D
After Millwall's well deserved point at Bramall lane the mighty whites now have a 3 point advantage over the Blades.
4 games to go, and as it stands, 10 points needed.
Believe!

Great article by Henry Winter in the Times about everybody's favourite club. You have to pay for the full article but, this gives a flavour.

A good article, explains nicely about why the EPL needs teams like Leeds and Aston Villa. undoubtedly the 2 best sets of fans in the Championship, 3rd being Sheffield Wednesday's, imo.
Roll on Friday.

I was a Villa fan while at uni in Birmingham but only because Debbie, some drunk floozie Villa supporter at my local pub up the Hagley Road would let me cop a feel of her tits. Pub was probably chock full of Villa supporters come to think of it.

I used to go to a "pub" on Hagley Road when I was in Brum on business. Not many Villa supporters but, plenty of Steaua Bucharest and Flamengo. Think it was called Spearmint something.....

Way up Hagley Road? Mitchells & Butlers place? Around 1976?

The weekend of reckoning has arrived, and I am nervous .... 6 points, just 6 measly points from these 2 games is all we ask, and we are on the brink. :drunk:
C'mon Leeds.

Oh dear ! Not many would have predicted Wigan winning at Leeds....Sheffield United second now on goal difference.
Last 3 games....
Leeds....Brentford (a) Aston Villa (h) Ipswich (a)
Sheff U....Hull (a) Ipswich (h) Stoke (a).
I think the Leeds v Villa game will be crucial.Beat them and it will be automatic promotion....lose or draw its the play offs....wont be easy.
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.

Peterhead managed a couple of draws on their last two outings, the most notable one being against their nearest challengers Clyde and now have a 4 point lead at the top. Edinburgh have gone off the boil so with fixtures against lower-order teams remaining, it's the blue toon's to lose IMHO. Only the champions get direct promotion to League 1 while 2nd, 3rd and 4th get into messy 2-legged playoffs with the arse-ender from League 1. It was those playoffs that saw Peterhead dumped out of League 1 in 2016/17.

I am feeling like a fish - totally gutted.
I don't fancy our chances in the playoffs.
Yesterday Leeds played like it was 11 players who had only just met.
But we carry on.

36 shots in 90 minutes tells it's own story. Truth is, on any other day, we would have won, in spite of a few "headless chicken" performances.

I said before that I expected play offs and, would fancy our chances against any of the teams potentially finishing 6th. WBA and Villa will battle out the other semi and, at Wembley, I would pick us to put in a big performance.

Regardless, it has been a season to remember and it will be the EPLs loss if we spend another season in the Championship
