Take it many forum members happy they've decided to settle in LOS after watching many of the games played in the UK yesterday. Blizzards, snow and sleet were the order of the day up and down the country, seems Huddersfield and "The Potteries" got the worst of the weather, be glad of the International Break no doubt.

Liverpool 5 Watford 0.

Watford totally destroyed in dazzling display by four goal Salah, who has now scored 36 goals in this, his debut season; a new Liverpool record. =D> He is probably now assured of ending up as the season's golden boots winner.
With in form Liverpool now back into third place, and seven points ahead of fifth placed Chelsea, the battle for the fourth Champions League spot looks now to be between Chelsea & Spurs. Which situation promises an exciting match, in next week's face off between the two, given that both managers like their teams to play football, the way it should be played! :-" :D

Crystal Palace took a big step to ensuring safety last night, with Zaha back in the team and man of the match, but it looks grim for West Brom and difficult for Stoke now.....3rd relegation spot between Southampton,West Ham and Huddersfield ??
Everton safe now on 40 points....Big Sams done his job. =;
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.

I agree Zid, it does appear that WBA & Stoke are doomed. :( No surprise that the Palace & Everton Managers have, yet again, successfully completed the tasks for which they were employed; and I still believe the much maligned David Moyes will do the same for WHU, albeit only by the skin of his teeth. =D>
Therefore it would APPEAR the candidate for the 3rd relegation spot, rests only between Southampton & Huddersfield. But not that simple when looking at Brighton's remaining fixtures, and consider the number of points that club is likely to garner from these final games:
CITY.A; Leicester.H; Huddersfield.H; Palace.A; SPURS.H; Burnley.A; UTD.H; and LIVERPOOL.A; [-o<
So, by my calculation, it is essential Brighton at least beat Huddersfield, and pick up an unlikely point either from Palace or Leicester to be safe.

If Watford avoid the drop ...... and that's certainly not 100% certain they will have talisman Troy to thank. Their form since mid Jan has been atrocious.

Played 8 games failed to score against Stoke Leicester, West Ham, Arsenal and Liverpool, managed 4 against an out of form Chelsea who had to play 3/4 of match with 10 men and conceded 3 times in last 5 mins, and in the other two Deeney managed to get them their only goal against Everton & West Brom, neither game did they deserve to win.

They have 36 pts so SHOULD be just about safe, but getting their players back from the beach for the last game or two if those below do a Sunderland or a Robbo's WBA will be difficult :-k

It is a tough run of fixtures for Brighton but they currently have a 6 point cushion over Southampton......and look at Southamptons run in ! :yikes:
West Ham (a) 12 pointer
Arsenal (a)
Chelsea (h)
Leicester (a) needs to be re-arranged now
Bournemouth (h)
Everton (a)
Manchester City (h)
Swansea (a) date to be confirmed....another 12 pointer

They could well beat Bournemouth and Everton ;) but 6 points will be a lot to make up at this stage, methinks. :-k

So it would appear all us experts,( ), are agreed, ( ); namely relegation for WBA & Stoke looks inevitable, but it is still far from certain which among a nucleus of 4/5 clubs will be the lucky one to join them.
Anyone else picked up on the irony of the fact that Hughes, having been sacked by Stoke for managing the club into the relegation zone, has now been appointed as Southampton Manager, to save that club from the same fate! :-s It's a funny old world! :-k

Bad enough that half the leagues supporters are in a relegation dogfight Bob, but when theres some irriot somewhere dragging the pain on for weeks longer than it need be [-X

Add to that the fact that Man City are almost out of sight , so having played their first X1 twice, we have to sit and watch the likes of Brighton & Huddersfield probably play their U23 team while their first teamers are wrapped in cotton wool for CL games ](*,)

It would appear that you are now writing in The Guardian (under a nom-de-plume, admittedly) Statts,, :D
https://www.theguardian.com/football/bl ... ble-header
Why it’s time for the Premier League to bring back great Easter double-header
Sadly tv money rules, so we will have unwatchable Premier Friday night games, but no Good Friday/Easter Monday fixtures..

Perhaps (and hopefully) the massive backlash to playing Friday night fixtures in Germany will make then realise that Friday nights are for many many things (Footie NOT being one of them )

The Australian Cricket Board have announced a further punishment for disgraced Test cricketer,David Warner.
Warner has been given an Everton FC season ticket for the 2018/19 season and been told he must attend every home game !
Jeez....that's way too harsh.....give the poor guy a break...... :D

All now an hour earlier, means a pleasant 6:30 kick off for the Pool early game & both the Sunday games at a far more watchable time for me!!
