Does MOTD have a problem with Newcastle?
This screen shot taken from MOTD2 coverage of the Sunday match would appear to suggest it might.
The BBC are claiming it was an unfortunate error

Ashamed to be English since 23rd June 2016 when England voted for racism & economic suicide.
Disgusted that the UK is “governed” by a squalid bunch of economically illiterate, self-serving, sleazy and corrupt neo-fascists.

Re: Premier League 2017-18
Amanda Staveley has met Newcastle United officials and has opened lines of communication for further talks to take place regarding a potential takeover. From The Torygraph
No confirmation that any meeting with Mike Ashley has been scheduled for any pub in front of any fireplace, so nothing likely to come out of it

Re: Premier League 2017-18
What do Crystal Palace,Swansea and Everton have in common ?
Answer: they cant score goals and that is why they are struggling.
Palace only have Benteke and he is out for another 5 weeks. They said they don't like paying over the odds for a player but if they had paid 10 million over the top for a decent striker how much would that save them overall if it helps them avoid relegation ? 60 million ? 70 million ?
Swansea sold their only decent striker,Llorente,to The Spuds in the August transfer window. You cant blame Llorente for wanting to go to a bigger club but he has been replaced by Bony, previously good at Swansea, but who has endured three mediocre seasons at Manchester City and Stoke.Swansea must be hoping that both Huddersfield and Brighton start plummeting down the table as there best hope of survival.
Evertons big problem was not replacing Lukaku. They spent 150 million on new players but no decent striker.Even Stevie Wonder (but not 747man or goodison ) could see that Rooney was well past his sell by date on the evidence of the past two seasons......Sandro,also,has struggled to adapt to the Premier League.Niasse and Calvert-Lewin are a bit of an improvement upfront and should help keep Evertons heads above water until the January transfer window.
In the January transfer window I think that there is bound to be interest in acquiring proven strikers like Giroud,Vardy and, even,Andy Carroll.
Anyway, the EPL is back next Saturday 14th October starting with Liverpool v Manchester United at 6.30pm Thai....a decent starting time for a game involving two of the bigger clubs, for once.

Care to make a call on the Liverpool - Man Utd game, Khun Zidane? An away team win is currently at 13/8.

Re: Premier League 2017-18
Well,Liverpool have been struggling a bit recently but usually raise their game against fellow top teams (other than Man City).
United have been flying off the blocks this season but have yet to play anyone of note.
All things considered,I think it will be Liverpool 1 United 1,Earnest.

I reckon Liverpool 0-1 Man Utd. I'm not sure if I'm brave enough to put money on it, though. I might stick to Man City - Stoke.

Stab me vitals, Statto, next week could be Newcastle's big break. The Saints aren't that hot this season and Newcastle are having a better time of it in the Premiership this time around.
Southampton 0-1 Newcastle Utd
Earnest, the last of Jimmy Hill's footballing pundits.

Re: Premier League 2017-18
Little ray of sunlight on the horizon for Palace fans is that they have Newcastle in a couple of weeks ......
Not too long ago Derby had won b*gger all from the start of the season and they got a 1 - 1 draw against the toon.
Didnt stop them being relegated but at least they had a point on the board

Re: Premier League 2017-18
Poor game for something that was suppose to be a classic encounter.Liverpool 0-0 Manchester United
United showed little ambition & Pool little skill for a domination in possession.
Pool had to substitute their 2 best players ( Coutinho & Firmino) with inferior brands, United didn't even have 2 best players to replace.
i imagine that Jose will be the happier, but no chance of winning the league on this showing...

Re: Premier League 2017-18
Liverpool dominated for long periods but couldn't find a way through Uniteds defence.
Despite their domination they only had two or three clear cut chances. In the first half de Gea made a great save from Matip and Salah fired the loose ball wide.In the second half Can volleyed over from a great position.
United only had the one good chance and Mignolet saved well from Lukaku in the first half.
Uniteds midfield just couldn't get a grip on the game but Mourinho will be the happier of the two managers.
Should be plenty of goals coming up with the matches involving Citeh,Spuds and Chelsea......
