Re: Premier League 2017-18
Tonight is my night to enjoy the perfect, three part, dream! :-"
In the EPL: A) Spurs to thrash Palace. (sorry Brian ). B) Chelsea to beat Utd., with goals from Willian & Hazard . Both The Mouth & Conte have been warned they will be subject to severe disciplinary penalties, should either be found entering the ground in possession of more than their permitted five handbags
League Cup Final: C) The ultimate 'impossible dream', Arsenal to beat City.
Well, a fella is still allowed to dream isn't he; even on this Forum

Lucky boy Poch
If 'arry K hadn't got him out of jail he would have been ripped to pieces by the journo's.
ya can play Aurier and the other 10 can make up for him (except continually taking foul throws)
ya can play Sanchez and the other 10 can make up for him
ya can play "Le Llama" and ya get what it says on the pack (a domesticated South American camelid, widely used as a meat and pack animal) and the other 10 can make up for him.
Anybody who plays those three in the same game and expects the other 8 to cover is asking for trouble.

Re: Premier League 2017-18
Arsenal 0 - 3 Man Citi..
Is that the season over for the Gunners??
They are currently out of the European places by 8 points. They could reduce that to 5 with their game in hand on Thursday night. The problem is that game is at home to Citi. If the 2 sides play similarly to this cup final then there is only going to be one winner. The Gunners were comprehensively beaten by Citi . They showed nothing in attack & frailty in defence.
Time for Arsene to go??
I have never been particularly in favour of dumping him out of the door, however a new approach is desperately needed if The Gunners want to challenge what is rapidly becoming the big 5 above them..
Maybe kick him upstairs & get a new, young, long term replacement in to 'learn the rope's' while he is still around.
Clubs invariably have a rotten spell after a long term & successful manager bites the dust. Arsenal have a chance of negating that if Arsene will play ball. Surely even he must see that something new is needed if the team are going to challenge??

A resounding 'Yes"
Arsenal's, & Wenger's, season is turning out pretty well exactly as I forcaste at season's outset, and approximately midway through. Nothing new to add, really.
Utd. 2-1 Chelsea
Not often I fault Conte's tactics, but his removal of Hazard ten minutes from the end, with the result of the match so finely balanced , made absolutely no sense to me. it must have appeared to The Mouth, & his players, as it did to me, that Chelsea had accepted the inevitability of defeat .
Palace 0-1 Spurs.
Awful team selection by Pochettino, (don't start Zid! ), matched by an equally awful performance from those players who shouldn't have been in the starting eleven. No excuse for Palace failing to seize the opportunity to get something from this game.
