Good choice of hotel, then get a girl to come in and get to wear a saucy nurses outfit, to take care and give some treatment.BobHelm wrote:Prajaktra Design Hotel is a stone's throw away Jack.

The hospital can be a real nightmare to park near as well, so might 'tick' a couple of boxes.

Prajaktra will be booked - thanks.
88, I will put your suggestion to Mrs Spratt, who will be accompanying me - including the extensive "throne" time the evening before when I start taking the "cleansing" fluids.

It would have been fine 88, but it seems Udon General is the only hospital in Udon Province which does colonoscopies.

P.S. - If you're getting a colonoscopy, let me know how it goes. I still haven't gotten that colonoscopy after the Aek fiasco.

Private Room - Udon General Hospital
About 6 years ago I had a colonoscopy in Udon General hospital. I first went to AEK and they put me in touch with a gastro-enterologist who came to AEK twice a week, but who worked out of UG. I saw him at AEK, but he wanted me to go to UG to have the procedure carried out there, as that was where he had all the relevant equipment.
I am concerned that I might need to go for another one soon. Something I do not relish, particularly as they do them without any anesthetic.
The idea of overnighting at a hotel next door sounds a good idea. One would need to make sure they had western style toilets!!

Arjay, per the American Cancer Society colonoscopy should be done every 10 years for people over 50, so you still have a few more years to go.
Udon General Hospital
Sorry, this is an old thread.
Does anyone know if you this hospital takes payment by health insurance for major surgery?

Re: Private Room - Udon General Hospital
The best answer to be had would be by calling or visiting the hospital itself.

I belive that only the private hospitals will deal with private insurance companies. At the government hospitals you will have to pay yourself and then turn to your insurance company for reembursment.

Re: Udon General Hospital
I think Hospitals will usually take money from anyone if guaranteed a payment, you should ring your insurance company to see if they have a deal with the hospital or are prepared to make a deal. That would be worked out by each finance dept.
You would have to tell your insurance prior to any operation anyway. They may recommend anther hospital in UT.
