Unfortunately, in reality he was just another pig with his nose in the trough & wasn't even clever enough not to be found out...
One of Obama's pigs that was held over. I never understood why Trump kept this guy on after all of the VA issues on Bayrack's watch.

But, but it was Trump who said he was 'fantastic' & what a wonderful job he was doing..

Yet another example of Trump having very, very poor ability in picking a 'team' to support him.
There has been no evidence to support any claim that Shulkin ever did anything illegal while working for Obama, yet he did foolish penny ante things within a year of working for Trump.
It indicates, yet again, a lack of control from the White House...

Yes, Trump did say that. Some of what Trump says makes me cringe often. When he said that about Shulkin, I thought "He can't be serious." But none of us know what was said in discussions between Trump and Shulkin that influenced Trump to keep him.

The VA was going to hell under Shulkin during the Obama Administration. We DO know that. It was a bad move to keep Shulkin -- no matter what excuses Shulkin gave Trump for the VA's poor care.

There's no lack of control in the White House because ineffective and inefficient people are removed. If that was the case, bad performances would be ignored and trash would be allowed to remain. THAT is out of control. :)

Hang on a minute LS..
Were not all these people placed into their jobs by the current President??
Does he not 'pick his own team' & feel so strongly that they are the right people he supports their nominations to their posts through the Houses??
Or have I got that wrong??

Never said otherwise.

He made mistakes and was given bad advice on some of his appointments. I didn't agree with all of them. Still a few more who need to go if they don't get their business together.

What I DID say is that Trump's removal of ineffective and inefficient (and disloyal) members of his team doesn't mean the White House is in chaos. However, that is the picture that the media loves to paint. Leaving bad team members in place would be chaos.

After this new wave of new team members, I think things will settle down. The non-politician Trump is starting to see what he is up against, and his latest choices are appointments that I applaud.

I think he is still playing his part in the Apprentice, just this time it isn't for fun anymore ....

I'm sure he will soon have his team of 'yes men' in place, can hardly fire them when they were just following orders!
But beware (Wasn't that the excuse 70 years ago?')

Oh but the GONG has been rung on Trump's "Homeland Security" adviser. He's jumped ship AKA THROWN OVERBOARD after likely being speared by DARK LORD JOHN THE BOLTON

President Trump’s homeland security adviser Tom Bossert has resigned at the request of new national security adviser John Bolton, a report said Tuesday.

Bolton, who joined the White House on Monday as the replacement for H.R. McMaster, pushed Bossert out, Bloomberg reported.

Bossert, 43, who has been with the Trump administration since the inauguration, was Trump’s point man on the hurricanes that struck Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico.

The White House announced he was stepping down on Tuesday.

“The President is grateful for Tom’s commitment to the safety and security of our great country. Tom led the White House’s efforts to protect the homeland from terrorist threats, strengthen our cyber defenses, and respond to an unprecedented series of natural disasters,” White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement. “President Trump thanks him for his patriotic service and wishes him well.”

His departure follows that of Michael Anton, the spokesman for the National Security Council, who announced his decision to step down on Sunday.

I don't take that much interest in politics.....British either, for that matter....but I was reading that as McCabe was fired just a few days short of his 50th birthday he wont now qualify for his pension till he is 57,instead of 50 !
Is that true ? If so,it appears pretty vindictive to me even if you cant stand the guy or his political views.
Get all the facts. Then you'll realize that he should have been fired long before Trump was POTUS. When people do bad things, there are consequences.

Obama's Justice Department with Holder, Lynch and Comey was the most lawless and corrupt that I can ever recall. Makes Nixon and Watergate look like amateur hour.
Like I always say, always good to get all the facts ...

IG Report recommends criminal investigation into McCabe.

The more Comey talks, the more people are implicated -- including Comey himself.

Meanwhile GUILIANI thinks he can shut MUELLER down in a week.

How fookin WEIRD is this video of him in DRAG and KISSING TRUMP.

BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE:
Giuliani's history raises legal questions as he takes on Trump defense
https://www.politico.com/story/2018/04/ ... ons-544703

"The big problem here is how likely is he to become a witness in the case, whether it be in a grand jury or otherwise," said Loyola Law School professor Laurie Levenson, a former federal prosecutor. "You can't be a witness and a lawyer in the same case. That's the big sticking point."

Giuliani was announced as Trump's newest counsel this week amid an escalating federal investigation into longtime Trump Organization lawyer Michael Cohen, whose office and apartment were raided earlier this month.
