School Donation

Post by parrot » October 19, 2016, 4:44 pm

Several members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10249 along with several of their wives made a small donation of supplies to the Ban Non Muang School about 50km SW of Udon. There are about 45 students, grades kindergarten to grade 6, in the school. Three teachers and a small staff manage the school. Donated materials included a small kitchen stove, a variety of sports equipment, a water cooler, 7 ceiling fans, and notebooks/pens/pencils.
The local VFW will be helping a small school near Nonghan and another off the Nongkai Hwy near Do-Home in the near future.
The Post meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 10:00 in the Charoen Hotel. Meetings last about an hour. Membership is open to all US vets of foreign wars.
