Re: Teaching vacancies

......I have a friend (teacher) at Udon Cristian and tbey were looking to employ native speaking English programme teachers earlier this year DM Yup - I was asked quite recently if I knew anybody who might be interested. A good contact is Carvin(I think I've got that correct), a teacher of English ...

Re: Udon Smorgasbord

Brian, I have seen the big hall used quite a bit, Last Sunday all students had to attend some session (no idea what). I dropped daughter off early Sunday morning from weekend at home and the place was buzzing. Ok, Essex. Obviously, if there isn't an alternative gathering place for student functions...

Re: Udon Smorgasbord

Rajaphat University in Sam Prao......what's up with that? More and more buildings going up........but a dearth of cars/motorcycles in any of the parking lots. Some of the buildings are already showing signs of age......severely-fading paint/weeds/cracks. Something doesn't seem right. Daughter lives...

Is your inbox full?

If so, you may need to delete some older messages.
Thanks Jack, but it's saying only 16% full.

Re: Technical Problems

Why is my main page and the User Control Panel indicating I have one new message, when I've opened everything in my inbox already? OR is there, indeed, a new message but it's not showing? I had fairly recent problems, which I believe 'cleared up' and was, maybe, part of the larger technical problems...

Not a lot - at least the couple of teams (Poland and China, I believe) I saw warming up, in the brief(pun intended) time I was able to stay there.

Yes, there's quite a difference in attire worn by women in BEACH volleyball opposed to the regular game.

Re: Volleyball Tournament

Maybe Brian, the "small shorts are bad" protagonist can enlighten us? I think you must read my post again Tamada - i.e."I'm not in any way protesting". More a question of surprise in this day and age, when women are raising their voices about this and that and the players themselves don't seem to m...

Re: Udon Football, What a racket!

Thanks I will have wife look at link tomorrow. But really just more proof of the racket, I think. Well, a couple of hundred baht for a session, plus time and gasoline from Phen as if I don't do enough of that journey already in school time, to occupy him off of the couch or computer chair is money ...

Re: Udon Football, What a racket!

I don't know if this is any use to you, maybe duplicating your "new place", although some info doesn't match. Today, my near 8 year old started his second weekend at the Zalvo Arena, next to the big Chinese Temple. It's called the UDFC Academy and sure enough, the coaches I've witnessed there are th...

Re: Volleyball Tournament

That means there was eye candy Brian or just great sportsmanship! Both  I'm not in any way protesting :-" , but it continues to amaze me why the girls wear such small 'pants', particularly these days when there's increasing demand for, what's the word, respect. Normal size would not restrict t...

Re: Volleyball Tournament

Had a quick look in there today and was quite impressed. A main court (is that the term for sand?) with fairly generous seating all round, then several other ordinary ones with not enough seating, it seemed. I didn't realise it was a women AND men tournament. Seems quite well organised. Hundreds of ...

Re: 800k in thai bank for extending retire visa

Thanks for the information, sometimewoodworker. Regarding medical expenses, the reminder of the distinction between visas and extensions of stay is useful. Of course, not that I would wish the people in charge to consider insurance cover or lump sums in the bank for medical emergencies necessary for...

Re: Volleyball Tournament

In all innocence  , is there a schedule for matches i.e do games take place at particular times? On occasions, I'm kicking my heels waiting to collect my son from school, quite close to Tungsri Muang. I've previous experience of watching beach volleyball (World League or whatever it was called...
