Re: SMILES TIME AGAIN

I was also wondering, in a happy sort of way ...... is Alec Baldwin related to Mike Baldwin?

And are Johnny and Ronnie Biggs identical twins?

True Online Speed Shuffle

I have just turned on this free feature offered by True Online to customers with a current package with at least 200Mbps download speed. Effectively, what it does is allow you to adjust the balance between your download and upload speeds eg my current (fibre) package is 500/500, which I was able to ...

Jack my man. When discussing beer, there are no limits.

- Beer is better than strawberry Ice Cream
- Beer breakfast of champions.
You missed "after the 2nd stubby, there is no such thing as a bad beer". :D

I don't want to seem parochial, Whistles, but at the same time as responding to Niggles admonishment, I suspect you haven't spent much time on the west coast of Oz. Thinking Scarborough and Cottesloe in the metro area, and then moving south to Yallingup and on to Esperance, and in the other directio...

Re: 120 kph?

Accelerator control is definitely NOT taught here, neither is changing down to turn, therefore the vehicle splutters along in 4 th gear or maybe 5th until speed picks up When was the last time you had a driving lesson here KP? KP doesn't need personal experience to quote his wisdom - he can always ...

Re: World Beer Index 2021

Not unusually, we seem to be straying off course.

The thread is about the (relative) price of beer around (most of) the globe - not the relative merits of any particular brew.

The former is entirely objective, while the latter is undoubtedly subjective.

statts, you've done it again.

Re: World Beer Index 2021

All a bit silly, really. All they have done is averaged the prices of a 330ml bottle between a supermarket and a hotel in the respective cities. While the supermarket prices should be fairly competitive (and comparable) in each city, the hotel prices could vary wildly, between a suburban pub, or a 6...

Re: renew drivers license

Thanks for that clarification. Just to further dilute the YMMV factor, did you have a Thai DL before you acquired the yellow book and pink card? If so, they may have used your passport number originally and then changed it to the locally issued ID during a subsequent renewal? Yes - initially used m...

It sounds like it could depend on which office you attend.

In my case, all my licence interactions have been at Nong Han.

Maybe that's their rules when it comes to foreigners but I wouldn't be surprised is someone does have their Thai ID number on their DL instead of their passport number.
Correct - my yellow book number is used on my Thai MDL.

Re: Udon Traffic

For an out-of-towner uncertain with road layouts, and contemplating a quick shopping visit into Udon, where are the likely problems? Proposed route would be Hwy 22 to stop at Big C, then proceed further along Nittayo for a u-turn to stop at Cheese 2Meat U. Arriving say mid-late morning. Return in th...
