Re: Ashes 2019

Aussies didn't win the Ashes, merely retained them. Semantics perhaps, but England won the Series AND The World Cup, just watched a stirring "Last Night of The Proms" so feeling a tad patriotic, not to worry it'll soon wear off once BOJO gets his A INTO G,plus of course there's another Major Sportin...

R.I.P. Colin of Nong Khai

Many of uz Old Timers may remember Colin, a Nong Khai resident, ex Glasgow Policeman and a regular visitor to Udon, esp. Chris' Place on a Saturday. I heard from a good source that unfortunately he has passed away, peacefully in his sleep. No funeral details are available at present. He has two sons...

So, Cricket is really coming home even though it took a "penalty soot-out" to make it happen! What a Sportsman and a gent. Kane Williamson is, Something his Northerly neighbour's could certainly take on board.

Anybody know the whereabouts of RAY PAUL?

Ray Paul left these shores some time back and returned to UK for Medical Treatment. He was a loyal member of the Bridge Playing Brigade for many years dating back to The Original "Steve's Bar." A few of us have sent emails but no replies were forthcoming. Just wondering if any UM members can shed an...

Micky Mellon's side, who went up through the National League play-offs last term, will face Newport County at Wembley on Saturday, 25 May for a place in the third tier. So Tranmere will play County to see who goes up to League 1.

Re: Does anyone of you no the backgroud story behind..

Firstly the bank told me "no letter required", then Immigration accepted my updated bank book prior to issuing the one year extension. Have to say many people on UM questioned the need for a bank letter when an updated bank book had all the information that was required.

Re: Does anyone of you no the backgroud story behind..

Immigration do not now require the letter from the Bank issued on the day of application. An updated (day of application) "Fixed Account Passbook" if that is where your 800K is held indicating that it has been there during the previous 3 months is sufficient.
