Selling my car but where do I register the sale?
Thanks, Stevo. The complex is not my favorite place to shop these days but will be making an exception. Appreciate the info. :D RAnderson, Certificate of Residence? Is this an Immigration form? Well, the vehicle was actually bought in my Thai wife's name so we will take her blue book copies and Thai...

Selling my car but where do I register the sale?
Anyone have experience in selling their vehicle in Udon in a private deal? Do I need to take the buyer with me to the purple building out in Nong Soong (Land Transport Office) to register/transfer the title or is there another office in Udon that needs to become involved? I bought this vehicle (a To...

Re: Fox News & Aljazeera disappear from UTV Cable
Only had Home Cable for a week but do have BBC on Chan 43 and Fox News on Chan 48. Scanned for Al Jazeera but didn't find it. Maybe someone more familiar with Home Cable can answer that part.

Re: Bringing pets to Thailand from USA when moving...
Hi all! I am Gary and in New Jersey engaged to a Thai woman. We have a K-1 Visa in progress to get her to the USA, but we are considering moving to Thailand permanently at this time in case of any problem getting her the visa or if we want to later. I have 4 cats that I love and I would never leave...

Re: Fishing tackle
Ditto. Very helpful. Lost a handle from one of my reels and this owner rummaged in the back and brought out one that fits nicely for a reasonable cost. Another time I asked him to set me up with a rig similar to the ones that Sabai Sabai rents out. The shop owner knows the Sabai place well and sold ...

Re: Van rental in Udon thani
Here's a company that I've used to rent a car in the past. They provide 1st class insurance and will take credit cards. Very reliable and my recommendation. Noticed on their website that they do rent vans (10 to 14 seats) with driver:

Her basement was probably flooded. Better send her some money for a roto-rooter man.

Re: what we doing xmas and new year in LOS
I spent my xmas wandering around the food court at the mall compleck, following my wife like a little lost puppy. Wore my finest Chang beer vest for the holiday altho wasn't able to get the egg stains out of it from a previous visit. Made our 30 baht selections of some very fine gourmet issan food o...

Re: Display Your Car Registration...or else!!!
Never been asked to show passport by Thai cops even after involved in accident over a year ago (Thai on motorbike was at fault). Showed Thai driving license and insurance only. No bribe paid and car was fixed at no cost to me. Other guy? I dunno. They threw him in back of a pickup and last seen boun...

At least carry a copy of your passbook with you at all times in wallet or glove compartment.

Went looking for UPS today but not to be found in the old location. They moved two months ago. Did a little tracking of UPS and found them. New location is about 100 meters north of TJ's on the same side of Nongsamrong. Here's a map they gave me:

Back when I used to do my share of drinking I preferred the small bottles. If I had consumed (drank, drunk, guzzled) a large Singha at each of my favorite watering holes I woulda been sh!tfaced before 9 pm every night.

Re: Sabai Sabai Fishing Park - Udon Thani
Took some Chiang Mai relatives who were visiting to Sabai Sabai last week and had an enjoyable time. Caught some pretty good sized pla nin, jeramid and even a couple that looked like red snappers. Picked a cool, breezy day and the Leo beers were cold and delicious. Always a good time out there.

Re: Coffee pots
Spent a lot of time driving around town when we arrived four years ago looking for a stove top coffee percolator but never found one. Makes better tasting and smelling coffee than the electric drip types IMO and very cheap to buy in the US. Anyone seen one like this in their travels here? stove top ...

We have the exact same model as the one Funman is trying to sell, a Sanyo. Paid about 6000 ฿ at Makro four years ago. It's been a good purchase. Wife uses it to roast turkeys, chicken, meat loaf, pot roasts, etc. It gets a lot of use and never a problem with it.

Re: World Series 2010
Game 3 of the World Series will be starting an hour earlier tomorrow from Arlington, Texas so set those alarm clocks for 6 am Thai time. Starting pitchers will be Jonathan Sanchez for the Giants and Colby Lewis for Texas. Advantage to Texas since they will be able to use Vladimir Guerrero as DH at t...

 Even schoolteachers/profs need to get a little shuteye or maybe he had some papers to correct, misspellings and what-not. Would have been 11:44 pm (in Toronto) at time of last post by Tilo. So, Game 1 is history with a big Giants win, 11-7. Neither Lee nor Lincecum was very impressive but they...

Sarge, that's what's wrong with this country. They need someone to set up a proper lottery and a few Indian casinos with Bilko-run card games. And build some proper baseball stadiums (stadii?) with Ball Park Franks and plentiful plumes of cigar smoke wafting in the air. [-o<
