Re: Will Trump make the Grade.

I think it's fantastic for a country to have members of its legislature who were born abroad. I would hope my country has dozens of them and I suspect we do. I don't even care if they maintain citizenship in another country. I do care about foreign governments interfering in our elections if they do...

Re: 2019 AFL Season

Just clothing and a mug. Nothing dodgy. It was a good win for the Bulldogs today and the Lions are about to have another big win. Essendon has a difficult list of opponents through to the end of the season. The match against the Bulldogs may be critical for each side. I think Bomber Thompson should ...

Re: stickman says ....

Here's a paragraph from this week's Stickman column: "For the daring, current reports have it that Soi Nana is crawling with friendly, accommodating ladies. 1,500 baht seems to be the going rate and 1,000 baht may be possible. Bargain. That’s about as cheap as you can reasonably expect prices to be ...

Unlike the mad English, the Thais aren't great fans of the sun.

Re: 2019 AFL Season

I think Mark Thompson has had the best result so far this week. A 12 month community corrections order and $3500 fine seem quite light to me. I suspect he was a low level dealer although he wasn't convicted of dealing. Hopefully he can now get his act together and rehabilitate himself as Wayne Carey...

I expect he'll have a very nice profile on bank notes and coins. The Aussies should also get him to spell check their bank notes as I understand he's notoriously finicky.

Re: What’s the real plan with Iran?

I don't think the current US administration really has allies. The next administration will need to do some work to restore its relationships with the US's traditional allies.

Boris Johnson

Well The Guardian columnists ( ) put the boot into Johnson and Hunt's poor performances: John Grace: "Feeble doesn’t begin to do it justice. It would have been more enlightening had both men stripped to their boxers and started arm-wrestling. Giant Haystacks versus Little Daddy. The host Julie...

I'm in the LS fan club too. He's a real hoot. It's fun seeing how a 100% Trumpster sees the world. It seems very different from the traditional Republican view. The real issue for me is the state of politics and the health of democracy in the US. It doesn't look too healthy. The gerrymandering decis...

Lucky me. I was going to put $10 on the Eagles but I forgot. Essendon - Norths and the Swans - Carlton are the more interesting games for me today.

Next year I might call the thread GT's 2020 AFL season.

The media in NZ don't publish stories such as this; not even the Murdoch press. I'm not sure why the Dirty Digger inflicts them on UK readers and voyeurs. Presumably they help him make money. :(

Yes, I don't think he's the full shilling. I hope he wouldn't even be permitted to visit say the US, Thailand or my country. His criminal record is too substantial and he appears to be both a thug and a crook.

Re: Finally Some One with a Pair of Balls

Something has to give in this kerfuffle with the Iranians. It's difficult to predict what. The man-child Johnson taking charge in the UK isn't reassuring. With this issue I'm much more comfortable with the adult May being the British Prime Minister. The Iranians do have a get out of jail card. Anyth...

Thais have been scamming foreigners since time immemorial. The official response is always something along the lines of caveat emptor. When the shoe is on the other foot, however, the criminals must be brought to justice! It's an OUTRAGE!
Oh goodie. I enjoy the occasional sense of OUTRAGE.
