Re: Ukrainian Passenger Plane Crashes in Iran.

Aircraft engines do not blow up. Of course they can be blown up from an outside source 1.e a missile. The worst that can happen in everyday operations is known as 'an uncontained engine failure' and occur rarely. There are some graphic photos of a Southwest Airlines B737-800 ( same model as the Ukra...

I think the fact that the Iranians are not releasing the 'black box' flight recorder speaks for itself.

Having visited Australia many times during work , I can only agree 100% A really great place and when I talk and people think that I AM an Aussie, I take it as a complement.

Having finally got a firm date for Brexir and also elected a Government strong enough to see it through, hardly 'woes' more like overwhelming joy.

Re: The all new "Scottish Independence Referendum" thread

Scottish representation in Westminster is 48 MP's in a house of 650. Scottish representation in Brussels is 3 MEP's in a chamber of 751. When Sturgeon was quizzed by members of Scottish fishermen's groups about the way Brussels 'unfairly ' controlled the fishing, she replied that she would seek to r...

Re: Pound looking good.

The fall in value of sterling was always on the cards, after the initial euphoria abated ,and due to uncertainty over the future. Until some concrete legislation is passed, nothing major in the money markets will happen. As regards your beloved Guardian, they must be overjoyed at sterlings down turn...

Re: The U.K.'s Christmas Election

How many f.....g referendums do you want? Cameron called the UK 2016 referendum a once in a generation vote. Similarly Alex Salmon made the same comments, but went further... ' referendum results must be honored.
A generation is commonly excepted to be between 25 and 30 years. NOT 4 and a half years.

Re: The all-new "Getting BREXIT Done" thread.

Hard Brexit, Soft Brexit... These terms only surfaced after the 2016 referendum. Essentially all of US who actually did know what we were voting for, was OUT completely OUT . Look at the panicking in Brussels. As I said before and say again the EU needs UK more than UK needs EU with all its waste , ...

Re: The U.K.'s Christmas Election

The 2016 referendum is the mandate to quit the EU. The result was successfully scuppered for 2 years by remainers and a dodgy Commons speaker, most of whom are now without jobs.LOL ., The 2015 Scottish referendum, once described by Alex Salmon as a 'once in a lifetime vote' delivered a 55/45 remain ...

Re: The U.K.'s Christmas Election

People posting links to """"""news"""""""" from either the Guardian or the Independent must be pretty gullible or perhaps still believe in Santa Claus. A quick look at the UK's daily newspapers circulation figures ,put them both pretty much at the bottom....ALWAYS ! Read only by the hard left and of...

Re: ClimateGate busts things wide open

Perhaps if 'we' the general public were permitted to hear equally from the scientists on both sides of the debate, then a balanced judgement could be made. When one sides' views are 'blanked' by the MSM, then to my mind it STINKS!!!!!
