Re: BOJO a complete disgrace and FOX/BBC fail in their cover up

We had Trump Phobia, now we have Boris Phobia, how some people can get emotionally upset over a politician is beyond me.

Re: Brexit: the 11th-hour brinkmanship kicks off.

So when the Remoners finally get their way do they really think that the half of the country that got stitched up by the Politicians will just skuttle off back to their social housing (after all isn't that where all Leavers live) roll over and forget all the crap that's been going on for the last 3 ...

Re: British PM to face No confidence vote tonight

Billa Just a wee update from a Scottish newspaper dated last night UK time. A survey commissioned by pro-UK campaigners Scotland in Union found 59 per cent would vote to “ remain ” in the UK. Just goes to show how a poll can be slanted towards whatever the pollsters want. The SNP poll a couple of w...

Re: British PM to face No confidence vote tonight

I have a solution to this Brexit crap which will make the majority of UK citizens very happy. Since the referendum for Scotlands independance alot of things have changed. I believe if another was called the result would be in favour of independance. Scotland is strongly in favour of remaining in Eu...

Re: air polltion near busy roads as bad as a pack of fags

I've always thought to myself every time I drive around the Kings roundabout and see those twats running around it, "what a good idea to keep fit and show all of Udon how smart I am" probably one of the most polluted areas in Udon. The new monarch has prolonged the lives of alot of Thais, I assume s...

Re: and you thought prices were high in Udon

I agree Saint, just to make sure that I'm not in denial or dreaming in that dark room, I just looked up the flight for my next planned trip on Skyscanner, out on 27/11/19, return 25/02/20, Thaiairways ticket for 473 pounds direct. You have to wonder also for such a "high flyer" on the income front w...

Re: Rumor Check: Problems with income method in Udon for extension based on retirement

At the risk of upsetting a few guys, I'll tell you what I think. A man works all his life and decides to retire in Thailand. If he can't scrape together 800,000 baht, he shouldn't be here. I'm certainly not wealthy but keeping 800,000 in my Thai bank is not a hardship. I'm legally married and could...

I keep wondering about those Piggy banks, Do Muslems have them too? One of my Aunts used to collect them, I think they would have Camel banks or something similar, I understand that anything Piggy might offend.

Re: For Those Who May Have Forgotten

Yes, everyone should be judged by someone who can sing and play a guitar. Maybe vote him in as president. Why not - in recent times they have elected a B-grade Hollywood actor, and then a narcissistic New York real estate salesman and conman. ;) If that's the criteria for president of the US, I wou...

Re: New Housing Development

I stand corrected if that's what they are, and good luck to any Thai's who have aspirations to owning their own place, must be some kind of lease purchase, ground rent, maintainance charge etc involved, I'm no snob but NIMBY. It looks like a ghetto waiting to happen, a horizontal tenement block. You...

New Housing Development

Has anyone noticed the new, what I can only describe as, high density 2 story living accommodation being constructed behind Tescos and Gnee Soon. Follow the road between the two stores comes up on the left about 1k. Just thinking who these units are being built for, social housing, low cost apartmen...

Re: In WTF News: Bojo runaway favorite to be Britain’s next prime minister

Maybe I've missed something! Don't get me wrong IMO we should have left years ago but just because we have a different Prime Minister that doesn't change the sums in parliament, the Tory's are still short of a majority even if they could get the remoners to come back into the fold.

Re: Maxxis Tires

That's a sweeping statement Woody, so you think if you make a u turn in the wet that a bald tyre will perform as well as a tyre with tread.
I wonder why F1 cars switch from slicks to wets when its pissing with rain.

Re: Maxxis Tires

I used to worry about my tyres when I could see the canvas showing through the rubber, since I've been in Thailand I now realise that is ok and now change them when I can hear the wires "tinking" on the wheel arches. I recently had a set of 4 Maxxis fitted to my Izuzu 3.0 L pickup, Off Road tread, 1...
