Read your booking conditions. As cheaper the flight as more restrictions apply

Re: Udon Thani Retirement Extension - what do they need?

Thanks a lot. Great info. So it seems that all retirement extension renewals will require medical insurance. Did you have the choice where ( which hospital ) to pass the medical tests ? I just had most tests done at the military hospital a month ago and my renewal is in September. Thanks again. I’v...

Re: Warning : Non OA converted to Non O based on retirement

Rumours. I am doing my extension in HuaHin since 10years, never ever had or heard of special requests. Even this endless topic with TM28/30 is handled here pretty simple. So when did they request what? The information is on ThaiVisa some posted by ubonjoe who probably is the most knowledgeable post...

Re: Warning : Non OA converted to Non O based on retirement

What nonsense rumours are spread out here about HuaHin immigration? It was always one of the most easy-to-deal-with and helpful offices. That they are easy and helpful (they may well be) hasn't stopped them from adding requirements that most other offices do not. Those are not rumours but first han...

Re: Welcome to Thailand

Arrived from Hanoi today, plane was at gate at 14:58.
I had my first cigarette outside the building at 15:20.
No queue at all at immigration.
Lot of taxis just waiting, no guests.

Re: Thai Airways Updates

The new flight awards devaluate your mileage a lot. For luck I had just enough miles left to get an upgrade to Europe which I booked after their announcement. This will be my final flight on TG except no other choice. I will not continue collecting miles on ROP, had Gold status with them for 18 year...

Re: Thai Airways Updates

I always prefer Thai and currently now have 2 future bookings Bkk to Beijing return the same price as Air China. I know which airline I’d rather be seated on to and fro from Peking. I lived in Beijing and Shanghai several years and flew to BKK once a month. TG has more convenient departure times, t...

Re: Welcome to Thailand

You got that pic from TAT, showing the increase of foreign tourists? ? [emoji12]

I was at airport at 13, 26 and 27. Easy moving inside the building, few people.
Markets, restaurants and hotels are quite empty too.

Udon Thani to Khon Kaen by bus

Seems there is a "pink bus" company (KHONKAEN CHANACHAI TRANSPORT) going from UT to KK.
Does anyone know where is their bus terminal in UT?

Thinking to replace my recent PCX by an NMax with ABS.

If anyone owns it I would like to hear your comments.
Are you happy with your NMax?
Would you buy it again?

Thank you to stay on subject

Thai Airways stopped it's flights to Samui, only BKK Airways left and they depart from Suvarnaphum.
Cheaper flights however to Surat Thani possible from DMK.

Usually longer stopover times result in lower prices. Use this as a chance to see Beijing, citizens of many countries are visafree for 72h.
Be aware of the need for seasonal dress. BJ can be icy

You ever flew with Air China? I doubt...
It was a lousy airline many years ago, I agree. But in the meantime quite good, much better than TG.
