Visa/Insurance worries ?

I keep forgetting to mention – although I should as we do sell a lot of it - an alternative to the Visa/Health insurance problems i.e. the Thai Elite program which is totally hassle free for either 5 or 20 years. Ok it does cost 500k or 1m Baht respectively but there is nothing else to pay/no money ...

Re: Mandatory health insurance for Non O-A visa effective from 31 October

Warning to people on a NON OA leaving Thailand for a Holiday. Clients went on a short Holiday. They arrived back in Bangkok and entry was refused by immigration because they could not show a Thai Health Insurance Policy. They did have a good insurance from their home country and, on top of that, ev...

Re: Warning : Non OA converted to Non O based on retirement

Peter [/quote] Are you talking about Hua Hin immigration office? If so then it is one of the small number of office's that has been known to have invented some extra requirements in the past. Knowing which offices are concerned is rather important, while it certainly can change Udon has been remarka...

Re: Warning : Non OA converted to Non O based on retirement

Good post! Let's just wait and see. There is NO point in starting rumors (or spreading gossip) that will just get every ones anxiety level up and start this whole debate over again. As said the idiot IO's down South are a law to their own = scare the Farang into paying more graft? An extension base...

Re: Warning : Non OA converted to Non O based on retirement

Peter, this does not make any sense to me and it very confusing. How and why would anyone enter on a Non-Immigrant O-A and then convert to a Non-Immigrant O? I enterered 9 years ago on a Non-Imm O-A and have extended for the past 8 years on the basis of Retirement. Are you saying that health insura...

Warning : Non OA converted to Non O based on retirement

First – please don’t shoot the messenger, this only a warning to people who first entered Thailand on an OA Visa and have since changed to a Non O ‘retirement’. Our office in HH has been told by several customers that the renewal for ‘Retirement’ visas have been refused This seemed remarkable as one...

Re: Mandatory Health Insurance for Expats in Thailand

Looking through your lists there are a few mistakes e.g. under your Thai list you have Cigna Silver David Shield Which are most definitely the more expensive (full payment) International companies while you have also overlooked Thai Health under the ‘Thai’ section. There are also many more Internati...

If it of help, I can totally recommend Dr Nitti at the Bangkok Pattaya hospital from personal experience https://www.bangkokpattayahospital.com/en/doctor-profile?v_id=207&c=1&depid=28 I took a great deal of time checking different Urologists and found him to be the best – and not necessarily expensive

Mudguard
We make sure that all the insurance companies we deal with (A) offer their policies in both English and Thai and (B) are reliable and offer good quick service if there is an accident.

Re: Insurance and tax when you sell your car

Just wondering how they do in Thailand with insurance and tax when you sell a car. Does the insurance go with the seller? That is he will cancel his insurance and get some refund and does the tax go with the car? Please share if you have any experiance with these procedures. As mentioned the insura...
