Re: Udon Thani International Airport

It appears that you can't stop growth and progress. As for myself, I much preferred the old days of a small airport.

Three more airports that were once small and friendly have also grown. Krabi, Utapao and even Loei airport are unrecognizable from the old days. I'm sure there are even more.

Re: Knee Pain

Apparently there are many different treatments available. My Dad, RIP, loved playing golf. He could no longer stand the pain of walking. His regular doctor told him that he needed a knee replacement. He was spending winters in Florida and a friend of his told him about a doctor who specialized in el...

Re: Shower water heater

During the past ten years at the house, I have gone through a number of shower units. The first one I put in worked fine except in the winter the 3,500 watt unit could not heat the water to a decent comfort level. I replaced it with a 4,500 watt Hitachi. It did a great job but only lasted about thre...

Re: car stereo

Both my newer vehicles have a USB port and both do a great job of using a memory stick for music, or for me audio books. Media is easily transferred from a CD or DVD to a memory stick using your computer. I have an old beater car that stays at my condo. I replaced that radio with one that also can u...

Re: Is your Water Supply Secure (Quantity/Quality)

I have 2 large water storage tanks approx 4000 litres. esential here I too have storage tanks, an 1,800 liter, 1,500 liter and a 500 liter plus a Thai cement jar that I think holds about 1,000 liters. We use about 500 liters a day. I also have a drilled deep well with a submersible pump. As long as...

Re: Shower water heater

I dislike bath tubs to the point that I avoid hotels that have a tub that I have to stand in while taking a shower.

Re: Drought

Here, 50 kilometers south of Loei city, we had a lot of wind and a very heavy rain last night. The wife is planting rice today. This is the first time this year that here has been enough water. Some who planted earlier are starting over. The planted rice yellowed and died from lack of rain. A couple...

Re: Shower water heater

My dishwasher has a very large outside sink and she has no problems using cold water.

As a side note, she has found that it helps a lot to use dish washing detergent. :-"

Re: Maxxis Tires

In all my years of driving on many different brands of tires, I have had only one blow out. That was many years ago on a set of Firestone Wide Ovals. The blowout happened on a busy Interstate highway at about 80 MPH. The Dodge Challenger handled very well and other than losing the chrome rim ring, w...

Shower water heater

Last night my wife had a hot shower. She normally goes to bed before I do. I went for my shower and no hot water. The little green LED light was off. It is always on when the power is on. I took the cover off and it had power. Resetting the ELB did nothing. It was too late to do anything so I suffer...

Re: Maxxis Tires

Tires get harder as they age. Old tires are treacherous on wet greasy roads. Softer compound tires are much safer. There was no comparison between the seven year old Bridgestones and the new Dunlops. Going to town quite often requires me to make that same u-turn every trip. No slipping and sliding w...

Re: Maxxis Tires

It seems like most everyone equates how many kilometers to the quality of the tires. This is a mistake. I had Bridgestone tires on a pickup truck with 90,000 kilometers on them and they still had decent tread. One day on wet roads, I nearly had an accident. It felt like I was on an icy road. The nex...

Why are some politicians totally negative and openly hate the Jews? Why are you asking me, and what does your question have to do with my post? Do you actually think these four women are good for the US? How can anyone even try to defend them? You like to throw the word racist around and ignore wha...
