Re: Inter Province travel

Welcome home! I will need to make sure my connection in BKK is same-day to make sure the pre-flight one I get in the UK fits Thai Smile's requirements. What did you use for your UK vaccine passport? Bar codes on the NHS app? No requirement to report your arrival in the moobahn to your local health ...

Re: Inter Province travel

I travelled HKT/BKK/KKC yesterday. Leaving quarantine, I was given a confirmation note that I had completed 14 days and also listed the 3 negative Covid tests undertaken, including one within 72 hours of travel as required by Thai Smile. This along with my UK vaccine passport was required at check i...

Re: Phuket Sandbox

I'm booked on flights this Thursday HKT/BKK/KKC with Thai Smile. I've been watching the last few days and, they seem to be on time. Will report back if/when I make the trip. Incidentally, referring to Stats post, bars on Bangla Road have been fully open since 1/10. You can now get a beer in a coffee...

Interesting that Phuket, with about a third the population of Udon province, has 182 new covid cases as compared to 167 for Udon. Phuket, the sandbox, where it seems everything is riding on that being a successful operation
Testing more people?

Re: covid cases udon

Sorry Pipoz. It takes a special kind of tool to make those videos and, if anyone catches me doing one of those self indulgent, self promoting You Tube things, they can string me up by my gonads and stick a rusty nail down my bell end :D I think, in theory, after spending over a week here now, I coul...

Re: Domestic Travel

Question for DM or anyone else in the know.. Noticed tonight that Air Asia is resuming direct flights from Udon to Phuket as of next month. Would very much like to have a week of sand between the toe's. Can we travel from Udon to phuket given current restrictions and if so what will be the requirem...

Re: English Premier League 2021/22

Leeds are 8th favourites with the bookies to go down so, even putting personal bias aside, the experts think we wont.

Personally, I reckon we'll finish lower mid table and reach a cup final.

Re: Phuket Sandbox

For anyone planning similar.... I arrived in Phuket 23/9. Highlights so far:- - Documentation process was lengthy and tortuous but, from the RTE perspective in London efficient. - Airline (Etihad) were excellent. As a (previously) frequent flyer I was upgraded on both legs MAN/AUH/HKT - Process at U...

Re: World Cup 2022 (at the moment)

Thanks for the graph. As suspected it shows Scotland considerably lower in the rankings than Iceland in 2016.

The point is our "Iceland moment" was hardly a shock in footballing terms.

Re: World Cup 2022 (at the moment)

Not quite GT. NK was a real upset.

When Iceland beat England they were ranked 34 in the world, a ranking the Scots only dream about.

Re: Corona Virus / COVID-19 Important Information

Interesting question. The link you provide states 12 months maximum but, I guess this will be amended as and when the need for boosters is clarified. Thanks Samster and and yes I should read it more carelfully. It will be 6 1/2 months, from the date of my second vacination shot, to the d...

And there was a blatant penalty which, for some reason, didnt go to VAR.

Re: TH covid fatality rate currently 99+% and steady

His agenda might be flawed but, Giggles is correct.

Look at testing numbers and cases in Europe for example. This is why the UK daily positive figures are higher than other comparable nations. I personally know many people who have tested positive due, only, to the rigid UK testing requirements

Can we ask him what hasn't happened since1966 again? Can we mum? Can we?
Erm, a few semi finals and a final as well as consistently qualifying. A bit better than the Jocks "soapscum" moment you refer to.

Re: English Premier League 2021/22

Liverpool played well on Sunday but, the ref was appalling throughout. Never a sending off and, allowing Klopp on the pitch to influence the decision was appalling. I was at the match and, the ref clearly played on and didnt give a foul. There was no VAR so, what happened? Watching the replay the ba...

The lovely Emma did it with an incredibly mature performance. I see my post of 5/7/21 predicted great things for her. UM, the place to come for all your betting tips.

Poor old Joe Salisbury won 2 doubles titles for GB and barely got a mention in this morning's press.

Paddy Power? I've lumped on the mighty whites to win with a Jack Harrison assist and BTTS.
