Re: An Australian perspective of US gun laws.

Jack if you want to discuss gun related crime rates in the us, only FBI and/or DOJ stats are credible sources of info, with specific categories for each incident. As for why does anyone need a long barreled gun, that's a philosophical question and has no bearing here. The fact is that in America, we...

Re: Rumor: Expected gang fight at Tung Sri Mung today

Sure, I can have a gun here in an hour. I know of and have seen with my own eyes Thai land "developers" driving through town with a gun on the front seat. Doesn't mean it was obtained legally, with a permit, from a shop in bkk.

Re: Denigrating your President.

American politics is completely corrupted now, to the core. If you are generally ten years behind then beware, watch how our campaigns are funded and do the opposite or pay the price

Re: Bizarre calls to Australian Embassy

I believe the u.s. Embassy will loan flight money and perhaps some small amount of emergency funds to stranded travelers, but it is a loan and must be paid back directly or they will use the irs to get it back. If someone tried the "I need money for bar girl svcs already rendered" trick, you not onl...

Lol I take it you've conveniently "missed" the gruber videos.

As for partisanship, I am neither democrat nor republican, won't vote for either and would greatly enjoy seeing all of them flushed down the toilet

Re: Rumor: Expected gang fight at Tung Sri Mung today

Thailand is lacking in responsibility and accountability, they aren't lacking in gun control.

Re: Rumor: Expected gang fight at Tung Sri Mung today

Are you suggesting Thailand doesn't have gun control?

Can you buy a gun?

Ask your Thai spouse to buy a gun and see what happens

Re: An Australian perspective of US gun laws.

Remove need and replace with want, and go from there. "Assault" weapon is a political term only. That's an undeniable fact. It was coined by far left liberals to make people like you feel threatened by it and require protection from it. I already provided an opportunity for people like yourself to p...

Re: An Australian perspective of US gun laws.

Don't buy the propaganda jack. They are only "assault" weapons in private hands, the very same weapon for govt use is called a "defense" weapon.

Small but significant difference used to persuade the less observant to follow an agenda

Re: An Australian perspective of US gun laws.

Let me help you out, Joe. Hunting slingshots ie those with an arm bracket, are banned, as are mass produced slingshots meant for commercial distribution and sale. The backyard slingshot (called a ging in some states) are not banned. Reason for banning? Can you name a specific instance where people ...

Re: An Australian perspective of US gun laws.

I'm reading the NFA right now, pure comedy. Air rifles and paintball classified the same as rifles. That's equivalent to the u.s. Putting ganja in the same category as heroin and cocaine.

"Airsoft guns are banned in all states and non-firing replicas banned in most."

That'll show 'em!

Interesting because I've been to Australia and have quite a few Aussie friends and they've all confirmed it. Will have to look it up now because googling provides pages of info confirming it without offering statute to refer ti

Re: Rumor: Expected gang fight at Tung Sri Mung today

I took my family there the night before it officially opened, asked the wife why I couldn't buy a beer there and before she could answer, my son said "because all the Thai gangs will get drunk and shoot people here"

So, how's that gun control working out?

Re: An Australian perspective of US gun laws.

Haha a bunch of knitters getting their balls knotted. How much do you think Thailand values western commentary? Yet we all still comment. P.s. It's a crime in Australia to own a slingshot, even a simple child's toy that launches any projectile. Put it in your pocket and you've got a concealed weapo...
