Re: Plant Identification. Please

Not sure if the Thai's have their own name for them, but เม็กซิกัน พิทูเนีย is the Thai script for Mexican Petunia

Re: Irish Clock Hotel

I agree with you Barney... I've known the Irish Clock since it was converted from a shop house and Tom held the keep; Over the years I became a regular eater there when Steve and Mali held it, that continued when Trevor and Ann took over, my wife and I even held the reigns for Trevor whilst he and h...

@jimjay
The kids were passengers on that bike. The guy on the floor is the driver of the pick up, NOT a victim..

Re: automatic transmission problems

I wouldn't bother replacing the autobox... I would sell it for spares and buy a replacement car that works.
Example: VW Golf (Rabbit for you Tony), ฿65,000, in Udon... with autobox that works.

Re: PC repair shop

A replacement fan assembly should cost around ฿600 or so depending on make and model of the machine, labour should be 2 to 3 hundred Baht... some (Samsung for example) are easier/quicker to replace cpu fans, others will need the motherboard to be removed to gain access.

Re: PC repair shop

Ploy's place used to be in the far corner of the computer floor in Landmark, but I heard he changed unit's to a different one on the same floor. I haven't been in there for months, but if you ask any of the sellers on the computer floor for 'Ploy notebook' they will know where he is... or just look ...

108? wish I had a dollar for every bad story I've heard about that place, lol
Take it to 'Ploy Notebook' at Landmark... he's the only person I can truly recommend, he may well have the replacement fan unit in stock as all he does is laptop repairs.

Wonder how many if any are hiding out in LOS. No need to kill for one here... I've located 3 in Bangkok: Starting at ฿120,000 for a rough resto projest, to ฿2.4 Mil for a fully restored sweetie with a modern engine. 24854b74-6082-4b45-bc87-f399d7d7f1ee.jpg 93f41b15-c1fc-4b89-a759-0291749901b7.jpg f...

Maaka, Papa needs to go to the Pu Yai Baan first... Pu Yai Baan will go to Orbador.
It's not the job of the Tessaban to do it which could be why they said 'No can do'.

Good luck Bud.

@TAXIfor7/11
'JR' is correct, you can't hide an M16 under your t-shirt... what you need is an Uzi or something like that.
Personally, I like the Rock Island snub... ideal for close range.
