Re: Solar Power

Sorry for the late reply.. Yes, I've tried the pulse chargers and special pulse generators. Both bought and DIY from schematic on the web. Sadly, no positive results. (For 200ah it can take 4 weeks to see results) I'm now going to try the Epson salt solution. Maybe that helps. Otherwise they are sol...

Re: Solar Power

Thumbs up as feedback is not (yet) possible in this forum. I agree, lead acid can last long as long it isn't discharged too much. My system was designed to discharge about 30% at night, nothing more, and indeed be charged in the morning again. As lead-acid don't like heat, it even had personal air c...

Re: Solar Power

It as already a long post.. Better split in 2. As lifepo4 advocate... ( I really do like them!)... Many people think they can not combine lead acid and lifepo4. It's not advised for 1 simple reason. Lifepo4, once charged to full, charging should stop. Unlike lead acid, that tickle charges. Lead acid...

Re: Solar Power

Two 12 volt deep cycle lead acid batteries are original. I think they are getting weaker. A few weeks ago I did something the experts say not to do. I used a pair of jumper cables and hooked those two battery banks together. So far everything is working great and both banks are balanced. The FB dee...

Farewell 126.000 THB...  Welcome 1000kg old lead... That is wha...

Re: Solar Power

@ glait: Thank you for the link! 12v @ 225Ah = 2*5500= 11.000 THB. At this moment I paid 7.700 for 200Ah Time will tell if they are good enough or too cheap product :-) How long to you have your gulf cart 6v 225Ah batteries? (Months, years) It's good to have real life results and expectations!! They...

Re: Solar Power

I have the same problems with power storage... Lead acid battery are relatively cheap, I didn't look at the golf cart type, I can't tell. Where did you buy yours? One thing many people don't know is that it is "easy" to renew the batteries. Quickest way is Epson salt, but also short time extension. ...

Re: Solar Power

My battery array is excessive, huge, heavy. But relative cheap. 16 X 200ah is about 125K THB. (Au$ 6K) (€ 4k) That's Include the transport of 1.000 kgs :-) Having western energy lifestyle off grid.... It needs some investment. With my installation the batteries should last 3 to 4 years. (Reduced hea...

this morning @ dohome... IMG_20191207_090116[1] (Copy).jpg IMG_20191207_090105[1] (Copy).jpg as info... ;) Yes, I've seen it! Solar panels price is getting OK. But not nearly as cheap as https://www.9solarcell.com/ The 200ah Globatt didn't have price tag. After one hour they find the price... 12.50...

Re: Solar Power

I do thrust inverter type, the main difference is that it is build to work 24/7. Non inverter is more start - boost - stop system. My 9000 BTU cools our bedroom and bathroom without any issues. (Bathroom 3 * 3, bedroom 3* 5 meter) I do say, it's running 24/7. We have tick walls great insulation. Cei...

Re: Isaan red clothes...

I have had the same problem over the years, l put it down to the water the clothes are washed in, the red (brown) dirt staining whether from the Well or Village is evident in all our tanks and pipes. Whole house Filter definitely helps. I don't buy white clothing any more. Lol :D Yes, an other vict...

Re: Solar Power

There are solar air-conditioning... Sold sadly almost only as a set with solarpanels. It would be strange to to the DC to AC to DC on special made for :-) And while it does have less parts, they are a lot more expensive! Even if you deduct the solar panel. Even more strange, as they're supposed to w...

Re: Solar Power

For me.... We have no grid. No alternative. Closest connection option is 8 km from our home. It would cost million to get the grid connection. Some good news, I fixed one of the GAIA inverter, it is having additional ventilator strapped to it in case of an other fan failure. The new inverter will be...

Isaan red clothes...

Hi guys, Am I the only one? My clothes get Isaan red.. Https://ibb.co/3k6q3pC https://ibb.co/3k6q3pC Link to picture : https://ibb.co/3k6q3pC https://ibb.co/3k6q3pC It looks like my sweat (salt?) is having a reaction with Isaan red clay dust. When I was regular back in Holland, my laundry machine at...

Re: Solar Power

:-) I couldn't agree more. My system is also highly over capacity. This to ensure long life. 4 lines of 4 12v batteries parallel and series give the same redundancy as 4 separate system. Same goes for my original 2* GAIA, later 3*. Sadly the 6000w unit is not as lasting as it's smaller brothers. My ...

Re: Waiting times to pickup your order (DoHome)

DoHome is a really good shop for be, as long as I do not have to be at the pick-up department at the back of the store. They have many registers (and need as they are not the fastest) and get their work checked by different people. Out on the parking lot, they have an excellent team for packing and ...

Re: Waiting times to pickup your order (DoHome)

Only gripe was they were insistent on B300 delivery charge even though I'd just spent a couple of hundred thousand on materials LoL. Yes, also Thai. You can get discount on your tiles, but no chance they will give up the delivery fee.... Different guy, department, money stream.. I will look at this...

Re: Waiting times to pickup your order (DoHome)

Big Lot? New name / store for me! Must be worth to check-out. We started out roof buying sheets from DoHome Strange there are a lot different vendors out there, with all their own colours... Dark blue can be a lot different... And waiting for DoHome to get stuff back in store... That Is a lesson qui...
