Re: Monthly Food and Household Items Budget

Don't really have a budget as such but we seem to spend about 5k a week on food and household items including a fair proportion of farang type foods, 10k a month on utility bills and 5k monthly on running the motor, bit high because we don't live in town , that's just for two of us , not including a...

Re: VE Day

Well I must admit to a distinct touch of nostalgia over the last few days culminating in the Queens speech, yes even flying my RAF roundel flag, which I don't normally do out of respect for my neighbors, but how could I not? That day 75 years ago is forever engraved on my memory and will be until th...

Re: What a Season it is For Mangoes

Having just consumed another large serving of mango and sticky rice, I have been inspired to reflect here on the mango season we are enjoying. I have lived here full time since 2007, and really can't remember the equal. Diverts one's mind from CV-19 and the beer shortage - for the moment at least. ...

Don't pore your beer down the drain.

The shop that sells second-hand Rolexes is on the seconded floor has a small booth. Not the main Rolex on the first floor next to the door. That man has a friend who used to work for Rolex and is therefore certified by them, who he sends all his repairs to, he has his own shop near the amulet marke...

Re: The U.K.'s Christmas Election

I think Saint summed it up perfectly, echos my sentiments exactly but we have now got to find a way to shut up the ginger haired dwarf from over Hadrian's wall and life can go on as normal, whatever normal is . :-"
