Get back to us in ten years and let us know how you went.
No need to wait 10 years. It took me 3 years, got it last year.

Re: WHAT ARE BENEFITS OF HAVING A PINK ID CARD

If you have a pink card, you are supposed to get written permission when you leave your province, it's written on the back.

Re: Why not khun or pee to a farang

I often get called pee, loong, khun.
I've been at the hospital all day and every time I'm called they call me mister, despite having a Thai I'd card! Kinda racist.

Re: Debit or Credit cards

Thai banks already treat your money like its theirs. Your nationality makes your baht worth less than theirs.
This is sliding down a very slippery slope. And I do mean slope.
How so? My Thai banks are very good, apart from the low interest, but that's the same in the UK.

Anyone in Udon got Naturalized Thai Citizenship

I'm the first farang in Khon Kaen to have applied and halfway through the process of getting Thai citizenship. I'm wondering if anyone in Udon Thani is in the process, or has done it already. If anyone is interested, it pretty straightforward if you are married and have a job paying over 40k a month...

Re: Yellow House Books

I got mine in khon Kaen many years ago, transferred from Lopburi. Now it is in Bangkok, even though I don't live there:)
