John Flemming RIP

John Flemming, (Jock), suddenly passed away yesterday after suffering a heart attack.
John was a well liked and respected member of the local golf scene. An all round nice guy who will be much missed.

Re: World Cup Rugby

Never got into rugby.

Couldn't get my head around that one of the fundamental tactics of the game was to stop play by kicking the ball off the pitch.

Re: UK Economy

Whats with this idea of Yellow Hammer being a "worst case scenario" ....... that was disproved days ago when they found the pre cut and paste orig which shows the document with the title as "Base case" (or the EXPECTED scenario) ... The Worst case scenario is the "Black Swan" document, and "kingfis...

Re: UK Economy

Blimey, that answer threw me. It's astonishing and seems rather unworldly. Perhaps the UK and EU need some new infrastructure at the points where goods move between the 2 countries. For example places where longer queues of lorries can be parked up and buildings for thousands more officials to supe...

Re: Ashes 2019

It all started to go tits up for England when that numpty Anderson declared himself fit for the first test.
Despite being a bowler short England should have kept their foot on the Aussies throat when they were 118 for 8. :(

Re: British PM to face No confidence vote tonight

BOJO has offered to come clean with all the answers at the same time as Donald Trump releases his tax returns :-$ Seems odd that all of BOJOs sheep keep saying they are making significant headway with all the problems. yet not one of them can actually provide any FACTS or DETAILS (bit like some mem...

Re: Ashes 2019

We're doomed.

Have to face facts, beaten by a better team. Englands sub standard batting line-up no match for the Aussie pace attack and then of course there is the Smith factor.

Re: Better Experience at Army Hospital Udon Thani

I was rushed semi conscious to the Army Hospital a few years ago. My wife was so disgusted with the treatment I received she had me transferred to AEK within the hour.

Re: World Cup

amazing how one minor incident can effect a game. Ceylon were 115 - 0 (at almost 8 an over) well ahead of the asking rate which had by then dropped to just over 5 per over. Starc bowls a NO BALL which gets missed by the umpires, it hits Karunaratne on the pad and they go through for a leg bye. 2 ba...

Re: Eye exam.

Monk, I highly recommend Udon Optical. It's a Chinese-Thai family owned and operated business that's been around for years. Manit is the licensed and uni graduated optometrist, and he has the latest equipment and does a thorough examination. He speaks excellent English and he is very fair and will ...

Re: World Cup

Barney, do us a favour and don't tip England to win any more games. Your a jinx. :D Don't like to see Warner and Smith being booed all the time. Zampa, what were you thinking. Anything suspicious will be viewed in a negative light. You would think Aussie cricketers would be made to turn out their po...

You can question the umpiring in any match - doesn't change the result though.
Different degrees of umpiring cock ups. This one was almost as bad as you can get.

Have you seen the match? What's your opinion on the umpires mistake?

Re: World Cup

You gotta question the umpiring in this match. Gayle given out when he should have been facing a 'free ball'.
With luck like this put your money on the Aussies.
