All I know is... previous posts from 2 years ago might discourage people from going to Chef Ton... (including me, as we moved back here 9 months ago).
And to me Chef Ton deserves an update on Udonmap based on my repest experiences in recent weeks.
Great place when not going to Hi So eateries.

Re: Chef Ton is open
Just saw pal52 comments "only 3 dishes." NOT TRUE! On arrival you will be presented with a menu printed on 2 sides that must have 70 to 100 dishes. The trouble is...it's only in Thai! So, either go with a Thai, or keep your order to what you like. The pad thai is the signature dish for sure and the ...

Chef Ton
Really a great place opposite Aparachara School on the road leading from Srichumchen to the airport. Ample parking in the larger chophouse complex (safer than parking right in front).
Excellent value, so clean and pleasant, presentation is premium yet at fair prices. A new favorite.

Re: Car Tyres - new set required
I agree on Tyre Plus, just bought 2 sets there at much better prices than say from Toyota.

Karma on the road
Saw karma in action. Would make an interesting Karma video on youtube. Was turning right from ring road in front of Boonthavorn onto Pracha Raksa Road to head into town. The three lanes going straight were clear, but the "right turn lane" was backed up all the way. I stopped at the back of the line,...

DM how is the weight loss going? Your start and current weight, after how many weeks?
Must admit when I revert to old eating habits my weight seems to go back up.

Bellinee's (near Museum and Nongprajak Lake)
Today is the grand opening of Bellinee's Cafe on the 2nd floor of the modern structure next to the renovated museum on Phosri Road. A big stylish terrace and some indoor seating overlooking Nongprajak Lake. Can't beat the setting. A complete coffee menu, very wide selection of baked goods, and some ...

Recommend 137 Degrees Unsweetened Almond Milk with oatmeal and in fruit smoothies (with oats!).
Has a nice body and nutty flavor, IMO better than the other brands.

DM, for substantial veggie soup I add a 1/2 can of rinsed Cannelini beans , and sometimes a small diced potato. Or stir in oatmeal that sort of dissolves while adding body and creaminess.

Did my 90 day report in person this week. Lots of people waiting outside for more serious stuff. I was in and out in under two minutes.

Kopkei no idea if your comments meant my way but was taken as food for thought. So I checked my toppings: Balsamic dressing 60 calories (Olive oil would be double that) Dijon mustard 10 calories Horseradish under 10 calories I'll live with those indulgences.... vs what I might prefer which is a Bric...

Re: Trying to eat healthy food..not easy at all.
My 2 course dinner last nite: 1) large baked potato 1/2 with Dijon mustard 1/2 with horseradish. 2) lettuce salad with carrots, celery, leeks, green olives, Kraft balsamic. Sometimes add rinsed chick peas for protein but not mandatory. Tops tomatos didn't look appetizing yesterday. All fiber, all fl...

Re: Great Breakfast
DM I have the baked potato on the side, with just Dijon mustard or Horseradish! The main dish being a salad of lettuce, carrots, celery, tomato, sliced leeks, 1/2 tin rinsed chick peas for protein, capers, some sliced green olives with pimento, and store bought Balsamic dressing which is probably no...

True story. An obese wife asked her husband "Am I fat?" His reply: "Look in the mirror." *** BMI is a good guideline. The online calculator I use puts DM in "Class II Obesity". Big boned or not, getting to a healthier range - even into the simply overweight category - is something to act upon. As fo...

DIET SUBJECT I am really into Oatmeal lately, rolled oats, or steel cut, but not really instant. Tempted to try a 7 day oatmeal diet to lose weight (yes oatmeal 3 meals per day for 7 days, plus fruit for snacks). This week eating oatmeal 2x per day, plus one regular meal usually with kids in evening...
