Re: Floor Tiles Popping Lose

HI mate - if you can't get the right stuff in Thailand, try making your own. You'll need to get a cheap tube of water based stuff, empty it out, fill it with a mix you put together, then drill your grout and use the gun to fill under the tiles. Here's a link on how to recycle a used caulk tube - htt...

Re: Why won't she marry me

Read and re-read semperfiguy's post. That's exactly what to do and I couldn't agree more. It's terrific that the girl is self sufficient and doing well for herself and family - it does mean that she doesn't "need" you. So it comes down to does she want you. From the grief she gives you (as you descr...

Re: Do you smoke marijuana?

I can vouch for this - a family member is now suffering from the long term use of cannabis. I've seen some remarkable things that this drug does with sufferers of Parkinson's, but still the long term effects need more investigation. The change in character of our family member over the last few year...

Re: Thailand #1 on road death ranking list

Re the Yamaha R3 acceleration 0 to 100km/r in less than 3 seconds. No, it's 6.5 seconds - Only the fastest bikes (1000cc+ sports) have sub-3 second 0 to 100km/h. I hate driving the car here - makes me see red every time. Bike isn't much better either and I'm coming from a position of being (some yea...

I'm the same Wazz. Unfortunately they're not so much feral's as Thai owned dogs that are just left to roam around. Some of them can be right nasty buggers.

At least there's a good bit of news for the family, plus it takes away some of the immediate financial worries for the Mum and Dad of the lad.

Re: Ten Little Fingers, Ten Little Toes

I've thought the same for some time Parrot. On my trips home to work in Australia, I see/hear about kids with asthma, allergies to nuts, creams, eggs, fish etc etc. Same the UK as well. Back in Udon we have 3 kids all at school and they don't have allergies. I don't know of any of their friends that...

Re: Laying up a Honda for several months

Re mileage on these little things. I stopped our postie on a Wave 110i and had a look. He had 79,000 kms on it and when I asked him he said, oil changes all the time, and his was due to be replaced at 80,000 kms. We've a Wave 100 in the family with 60,000 kms and another 125 model with 50,000 and bo...

Re: Bar girl advice for stupid farang...

Hi, First, no one should laugh. Who amongst us hasn't done something similar when first coming here? I'm not saying that it's all roses and chocolates. But what's interesting is that's she's gone back to Surin which is what a genuine girl would do, otherwise she'd be on the first bus back to the $ d...

Re: Problem with sliding door.

Hi - don't really know anyone, but I've taken ours off a few times. Look for an adjusting screw at the bottom of the door - it lifts/lowers that side of the door and can make it level. Try that first.

Re: Hernia Op - Military Hospital

Wife just reminded me that the docs name i gave, Sittanon said he studied at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. I remember that now and was happy to have as my doc. That's also why the english is good. Plus he's got a sense of humour which always helps!
