Re: US runaway balloon lands in field

I can only hope that they (like all the rest that require rescue) are charged for this escapade. These folks have been on two reality shows and my guess wanted a bit more of the 15 minute fame. They launched to helicopters at $4600 per hour and countless law enforcement/emergency response personnel....

Re: International Hospitals in Udon - Poor Clinical Competencies

Excellent write up Mr. Wazza. I must ask in your opinion is the issue monetary or just laziness? Maybe a combination of the 2? I think you already have hit on training not being an issue or maybe?

These are curiosity question only.

Re: PLANE FROM UDON TO CHIANG MAI

2 things. Last year they showed the same thing about Nok. Never materialized. I do not want to hear all the stuff about Air Asia as I used them and went fine and round trip was very cheap. Gee in total 2 hrs in air. Used the flight one time and it is nice for a prop job. Plane was full. Scenery was ...

Right on Gulfman. You can improve any meat by aging it. Not a hard thing to do.

Also like how you took in many forms of good.

Re: First Aid - Do I stop and assist or turn a blind eye?

Very well written and I can't agree more. Only aside to this is if offered in Thailand the CPR and first aid class, ones self and spouse should attend for nothing more to help ones own family. As stated before, in falang land it is common for the teaching of CPR and first aid. Not so in Thailand. It...

Re: where can you buy decent steak?

Good Idea Falang1. However if you can not find the right grains or do not know how to mix the grains, you could have trouble. Also proper care of an animal is not easy. You do not let them just run free to make good beef. Another problem is after you do the butchering, you must either cure, eat or f...

Re: EMS First Responder

I would like to present a different side. Most of the falangs are taught tCPR/First Aid in ones home country. It is not something taught all around in Thailand. My wife knew nothing of CPR until we came to the US. If this is true of your spouse then I would suggest you attend so that your spouse cou...

Re: Whats in a Name....and how it can affect you!

LA again you have said it so eloquently. I am sure the guy knew his lady well before they were married and paid attention during the marriage. Stories like this just make me wonder what goes on in peoples mind. Idiot sounds real.

Re: Corn Meal

You can successfully substitute corn meal, polenta or grits into any recipe. It will make it a bit more course or finer in how you use it. Have used grits to make cornbread but it is really course and I will only guess some will not like it. Polenta is a grind between grits and flour. It is a bit di...

Re: Thai in Thy (city in Denmark)

Farangano, you have an axe to grind as most frustrated men have written here, but if you do not get over this it will kill you. I am sorry as you ask for most if not all of your problems by not getting to know your lady and what she means and stands for. If you got married, no one twisted your arm. ...

Rice Oil

I was watching the cooking channel on TV and they started talking about cooking with rice oil. I googled it and there is such a thing. Being you guys live in the land of rice, thought I would see if any of you have used it. Here is the benefits. Most Common Uses • Sauté or Frying • Salad Dressings •...

Re: Is Falang Food too expensive in Udon

Thanks Roy, I should have done a bit more investigation. My comments were only to say that making things locally that one is used to in their home will most likely turn up a bit different. To get what you are used to will cost a bit more sometime. As Bob has pointed out some are cheaper in Thailand.

Re: Is Falang Food too expensive in Udon

As no specific food item was mentioned that should be made locally, I will only comment in general. If a product has any kind of spice or grown ingredient, then the flavor will always be different. I will only say I feel it is the type of soil the product is being grown in. Fragrant rice is being gr...

Re: Leaving Thailand

.i guess greedy and bad assed women is their main complaint . And if that is their main gripe, then I pity them. That's like saying I am not going back to my favorite restaurant because the chair did not fit right. If all they come to Thailand for is to chase women and then they are outsmarted and ...

Michael C, that is exactly my point except for Stan. I have met him and he is really a nice person. Maybe one day you will meet him and find out he is not negative at all. Other than that I think I agree Loy %. I choose not to live in Thailand but it was choice of a lot of personal items. I might no...

Living in Thailand/ Thailand vs the World

I have read from many poster over the years about how they are unfairly treated by the country of Thailand. On one thread one poster told of how they are unfairly treated by law but only could offer up the 51% ownership law. One thinks the police only capture falangs in the police stops. And the lis...
