Re: Income Letter

Has anyone spoken to the immigration office in Udon and received confirmation that an income affidavit issued by the U.S. embassy outreach in Udon on Nov. 7 will be accepted as proof of income for six months after issuance? That would be until May 7, 2019.

Re: U.S. Embassy to stop providing income letters Jan 01, 2019

The way I see it is the only way one will know what evidence or documents immigration will accept to verify monthly income for an extension of stay is to ask immigration. Who out there is currently using proof of income other than an income affidavit from the U.S. embassy? What documents/evidence ar...

Re: U.S. Embassy to stop providing income letters Jan 01, 2019

There's already been considerable debate (and a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth) on the big forum as the British Embassy announced about 2 weeks ago that they would no longer issue income letters as of 1 January 2019. The BE income letter and the US sworn affidavit have a validity of 6-months ...

For an optician, Udon Optical. For a more thorough exam by an optometrist, Udon Eye Clinic. You can google both for location. I have been to both and was satisfied with service and prices.

Am I suffering from dementia because I have forgotten to bring a map the last two years or is immigration suffering from dementia because they have not asked for a map?

No I just walked in but you mustn't eat or drink after 8pm the day before. If you are particularly worried about your heart go on a Tuesday because the heart specialist is there on a Wednesday and he'll need to see your results.
Thanks for the information.

Re: MY experience at the General Hospital

Today I came for a full body check, blood, ECG, urine, X-rays etc. We arrived at the General hospital at 7am and ended up at the end of a very long queue, I was immediately regretting the decision (of my wife) to come here. By 7.06am we were checked in and on our way to the first department. Here w...

Re: Good British TV series and documentaries

I'm from the U.S. but am a big fan of British TV series, especially drama, mystery, and crime. Really like Peaky Blinders, Poldark, Marcella, Happy Valley, Broadchurch, Collateral, Unforgotten, Line of Duty, The Fall, DCI Banks, Wire in the Blood. I think they are far better than U.S. TV of a simila...

Re: Chiang Mai IO actual proof of US income

If that were the case, what would be the point in getting an affidavit? If U.S. expats no longer paid the $50 bucks a pop for the affidavit then the State Dept. or Embassy (who gets the money?) would be out perhaps several hundred thousand dollars. I have no clue as to how many get the affidavit eve...

Re: Briggs & Stratton or Honda lawnmower

I bought a Rover (made in Australia) at Global House 7 years ago. Think (not sure) it has a Briggs and Stratton. Still running fine. I use it on average once a week for about an hour. All I've done is replace blades, change spark plug (once), and oil change once a year.

I've taken my 10 year old Toyota truck to Shin (near Tool Pro) a few times. Once to fix a problem with rare stalling at a light....the kind of problem that you can't replicate on demand. After the mechanics said they couldn't determine the problem, they told me to wait a few minutes for the master ...

https://www.bangkokpost.com/travel/sightseeing/22431/phu-wua-wildlife-sanctuary Thanks tutone, have you been ? Is it worth a day trip? No, haven't been there. I was just curious when I saw your post and decided to look it up and post what I found because I didn't think it was in Udon Thani province.
