Epsom Salt

I bought Epsom Salt at the big pharmacy with the green front in Soi Sang Luang, across Tessaban II market (Google coordinates 17.407265, 102.785595). A whole box of magnesium sulfate of nearly half a kilo is sold at B40 there, whereas they would charge you B20 for just a 100 grams at the Chinese pha...

Honda City buyers ...BEWARE!

Exactly, Bob. Nothing to do with Thailand. I can't speak for Oz but in Europe even the space-savers are now being phased out and replaced by just a tyre repair kit, consisting of an electric pump and a bottle of sealant. Perhaps the situation in Australia is different because it is sparsely populate...

The Thai Poilitical situation has a new twist

In think they never said that the PRDC did, Bump. The article mentioned the PRDG (People’s Radio for Democracy Group). ;)

Email Outlook 2010

No problems at all here using Outlook 2010 on TOT.
I doubt if it is a TOT problem. As Chriss suggested, check the relevant POP/SMTP server settings for the respective accounts.

“Welcome to the Republic of Thaksin

Silly me for thinking that corruption in Thailand was a character trait peculiar to Thaksin ... :^o :-$ ;) Corruption is 'part of Thai mindset' Takayuki Kanaboshi The Nation March 7, 2014 1:00 am Corruption has become a part of people's mindset here in Thailand, where "cheating" is tolerated...

Air Conditioner Service Check

I can second FrazeeDK's recommendation. Standard Cooling and Service Co., located at the Ring Road, near the Nong Bua intersection (google coordinates 17.401062, 102.822126) tel. 042 249 555, are honest, very professional, and provide excellent service. In my case they were cheaper than Nimit, so it...

Will the ARMY step in again

Following the arrest of the serving member of the Royal Thai Navy who was an armed PRDC guard, any activity by any branch of the thai military will be viewed with suspicion by many. Claims to being strictly neutral will be tested. Failing that examination will be like pouring gasoline on a smoulder...

Thai shop security

Do they even sell anything small enough you could stick into that bag? That's exactly what I told my wife! If we would have had the intention of stealing anything so small, I could have easily put it in my trouser's pocket. Perhaps next we'll be required to strip to our underwear before being allow...

English teaching schools in Udo, ( not to learn Emglish)

Not only getting a Thai visa might be a pain in the neck, but also getting him out of the States.
In most country it is not easy for children to leave the country without their parents/guardians.

Just a suggestion. I think these are very interesting and valid questions that also also occupy my mind, and probably many more posters. Why don't you make a separate topic out of them?

Thai shop security

I have nothing against shop security, but I do find DoHome's security over the top. The other day my wife and I went there to check out prices of their AC units. My wife had a small envelope bag with her and the guard insisted that she should put that tiny little bag into that huge shopping bag that...

I've hunted high and low for it but all in vain, so I had it sent over to me from Europe.

Well, we have a corrupt Suthep trying to dislodge a supposedly corrupt government while a corrupt court backs the protesters rights to block government buildings and cause mayhem. The court said it was against the protesters rights to stop them. Protesting is one thing but what they are doing is ou...

Thank you for making that clear.
Fortunately for us we have our own in-house keyboard Rambo to explain to us what an utter imbecile this officer is, and what he should have done to quality as a hero.

Video of the granade attack on the police in which the brave officer who wanted to kick away the projectile that the peaceful protesters had thrown at them lost his leg. Nasty stuff!
