Re: Lake Nong Bua

Hey, Banpaeng! I remember taking one of those walks to Nong Bua with you. Also remember it plumb wore me out. Not to mention taking a solo walk another time, slipping on a mossy sidewalk and banging my noggin on a concrete post. Good to see you posting again. Don't be a stranger. You ha...

Re: Cumbria shootings: Derrick Bird was jilted by Thai beaut

In strip club The Classroom, where the dancers dress in schoolgirls' uniforms, we spoke to married Andy, a scrawny middle-aged salesman from Cardiff. He said: "My weakness is girls. I love them. I've got a wife and two grown-up kids but once a year me and my mates come out to Pattaya while the miss...

Re: World Cup 2010

Nah, that would be the best case scenario. It would be great for the sport, at least in America. It could catapult soccer into a major sports attraction in the schools and professional ranks. Beckham might even want to come back and play for us again. Will it happen? No chance. GK Howard may have br...

Re: Cumbria shootings: Derrick Bird was jilted by Thai beaut

Damn. Only proposition I ever get is "I have your size" from the t-shirt vendor girls at Mike's Mall.

Lots of stretches of the truth in the article, innit? :^o 50,000 prostitutes from a population of 110,000 in Pattaya? Thousands of bars? Thai curry and rice £2?

Re: ''Monthly Get Together''

I am simply pointing out that the reason the night market was so popular was because it wasn't associated with any commercial enterprise of the forum . Needs a slight correction, tb. The initial meetings which were started by Paul (is he still around?) were to be held at different sponsors each mon...

Re: World Cup 2010

Kickball? We used to play that in gym class back in elementary school days. Yeah, that poor goalie for England looked like a monkey trying to pluck a football, didn't he? I would blame those huge Mickey Mouse gloves he was wearing. Was expecting a 5-0 drubbing from the Englanders. The 1-...

Irish Alan in the other forum came up with the answer. The number shown is the number worn on the player's jersey.

Re: Fantasy World Cup Football....Join Here.

On the "Manage Your Team" page which shows all of your players, a number is shown between the country flag and player's name. Anyone know what that number signifies? I'm guessing that it shows how many teams in your league have selected each of the players. The highest number on my page is a 16 for ...

Re: Fantasy World Cup Football....Join Here.

Only 1 player from each Country/team is allowed into your own team. Read the FAQs and also seems that if you drop a player (i.e. Drogba) then you cannot bring that same player back onto your team later. Still a slim chance Drogba could play with a cast on his arm but I've already dropped him.

Re: World Cup Predictions

After seeing the fiasco at a practice match between North Korea and Nigeria on CNN this morning I predict the whole event will turn into a blood bath. http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2010/06/07/2919680.htm?section=justin Thought this would be about the North Koreans practicing their taekwondo ki...

Re: makro imported foods

I didn't even know that Makro had an outlet in Pattaya but will look for it now that I've learned that they are stocking imported foods. Hopefully will find some American brands as well. Usually load up on these goods at Villa Market and Carrefour when in Pattaya. Speaking of Carrefour, it seems to ...

They did get St Nicklas in 1997 although he delivered coal in their stockings. Detroit Red Wings crushed the Philadelphia Flys that year in four straight games to win the Cup. =D> Wasn't it the great WC Fields who had the epitaph "Better than being in Philadelphia" engraved on his gravestone in a Ca...

I'm sure that Giroux got a "kick" out of that goal. OK, maybe it was a deflection off of his skate but it counts. =D>

Re: Lord Stanley's cup

Chicago has only won the Cup three times, surprisingly. Last time they won in 1961 was against my team, Detroit Red Wings. Dennis Hull came along a few years later but the other guys mentioned were there along with Al Arbour, Ab McDonald, Reg Fleming, Tod Sloan, Chico Maki and Ron Murphy for the Bla...
