Re: Car cameras...

Just as an FYI the car power port, formerly cig lighter socket, adapter I use has 2 USB plug in ports. A 1 amp and a 2.1 amp. Use the 1 amp to power GPS and 2.1 amp to charge phone.

Re: YOU WILL BE FORCED TO UPGRADE FROM WIN 7 TO 10

There is no "FORCE" to upgrade but security wise it would be highly recommended, but for some this will require a new computer as a lot of Windows 7 computers are not compatible with Windows 10. Also as an FYI do you know a lot of bank ATM'S in U.S. run on Windows XP.

Re: Credit Card.....when to use?

I use one of two US credit cards in Thailand because they don't have any foreign transaction fees. I ask to have the transaction processed in Thai Baht as I have found that to provide the best exchange rate. I use these credit cards at any business that will take them without adding a service fee. ...

Greece better hit up the Italians too, after what the Romans and Mussolini did. U.K. can go after Japan, remember they really messed up the Empire with WWII.

Many Thai citizens (non US citizens) receive SS payments through BBL NY. This will continue. You don't have to be a US citizen to receive SS benefits.
But you are not to receive benefits if you are outside the U.S. continuously for period greater then 6 months as a non-citizen

Sounds like best bet is to put money in an account and just leave it alone completely, gaining a few baht interest, unless a dire emergency arises.

Re: Anyone had a Groin surgery done at AEK?

Not sure if you are talking about a catheter into the groin, but if you are when I had mine a while back there is very little pain after, but restrictions on what I could do for a while like lifting things and any stress on groin area.

Maybe need to define a little more on what you are asking about so you can hopefully get an intelligent non-bar answer.

For those who were married to Thai spouse in their home country before moving to thailand, I assume you must register the marriage at the local Amphor then get the Kor ror 2 if planning on getting an extension based on marriage.

Re: Do you have a Health Insurance?

I like my health insurance, although I'd like it more if it was less expensive. As a US Govt annuitant I have many choices for health insurance for my wife and myself. One I've found easy for overseas claims costs me $369 a month this year. The government pays an additional $1,108. So the total cos...

Sorry to hear that they can not change. For me will keep DFAS funds going to Bank of America then do wire transfers to Bangkok Bank when needed as have old Military account that was converted to special regular account and currently no wire transfer fees.

Re: American Stabbed to Death

Is there a mainstream media report on this? In The Nation or Bangkok Post? Or internationally? None that I can find. There are 6 or more Thai websites that carry the story. One shows his passport photo with USAFletcher at the bottom....which would lead one to believe his last name is Fletcher. But ...
