Re: Manchester City Banned from European Competitions for Two Seasons

This looks pretty serious. They should lose some of their titles and be relegated. Reducing the Champions League ban to one year seems too light.

4 more years of Trump and Moscow Mitch would take the US into dangerous territory. John Roberts must be feeling the heat.

Re: U.S. Politics

I think the anti-Trump forces will rally strongly behind the eventual Democratic candidate. It's even possible quite a few traditional Republicans will vote Democrat or not vote at all this time. The Iowa mess won't be significant later in the year. The Russians are a wild card. They might find some...

I think you've frightened them but don't worry I'll get the ball rolling again. Yes, I missed the kerfuffle and don't know what's out of line. I think Udon's weather is a significant negative and that the weather in Auckland where I live is way better. As for the traffic, taking kids to school is a...

Re: Travel Advice

I doubt this pandemic will be over by June. I suspect if you're travelling from June that by then simply coming from Thailand means you'll be required to quarantine yourself on arrival in the US for 14 or more days.

Re: Coronavirus Now in Thailand !!

I heard a public health expert in New Zealand on the radio this morning saying there's some evidence the Coronavirus is spreading in Asian countries such as Thailand, Singapore etc. and that the NZ government needs to be reviewing closing the border to foreign nationals coming from those countries.

I find the stress from that kind of tight schedule not worth it. I was once on a Thai Smile flight that was 4 or 5 hours late leaving Udon and missed an international fight on Emirates. Fortunately Thai Air put me and some other farang up at a hotel in Bangkok and bunged us on flights the next day. ...

Sfg  What have you been smoking? :D I like women Prime Minsters. We're on to our third. They are less likely to just want to be one of the boys among the other leaders. "Yo Blair" wouldn't work. I think on balance they are more likely to put the interests of their country before being mates w...

Envy of the world? I think worry of the world is a better call. The unfolding fiasco in the Senate just adds to the worries. The sooner the Republicans reconnect to reality the better.

Our doctor in the States is advising us to go back home just in case things get bad. The wife has chronic asthma and has to take ventilator treatments and I have a compromised immune system (Shingles). Doc said if the wife contracted Coronavirus it would be really bad. The doctor also said "if it g...

Re: Iran firing Missiles in US Assets in Iraq

The Iranians, of course, haven't finished their business. I wonder what response the US military was recommending to Trump. I expect he didn't follow it. Probably the right call. The US is the world's leading soy bean producer. In 2016 it produced more soy bean than the 4th to 12th largest producers...

Has it occurred to anyone else, given that the Bloated Orange Bullshiiter had a "perfect" telephone call with Zelensky, why he doesn't just release the FULL transcript of the conversation, and allow others who were privy to testify that was the case? He could clear it all up in 5 minutes, and get o...

Re: St Mary's school

I employ a NZ university graduate every year. I'm sometimes surprised they got into university let alone graduated. Standards have slipped. I think one reason is because universities want money from foreign students and this lowers the bar for everyone. As for Udonthani, I think Udon Pit is a great ...

It's not a joke. The health and safety of passengers has to be put ahead of the feelings of very fat passengers or others who spill out of their allotted space.

The Harry and Sparkle fuss has given Prince Andrew the opportunity to slip back into the lime light beside his mum. I saw videos of him with the Queen at church last weekend.

I hope the media's current fixation with the entitled Sussexes quickly passes.
