Re: I'm Embarrassed to be anEnglishman

That speech in front of the police was a disgrace. The UK is in deep shxt when that kind of crap is happening. I was, however, impressed how the police brass so openly objected to that stunt. Good on them. Johnson is starting to look unfit to be Prime Minister. Fortunately it doesn't look like he's ...

Re: I'm Embarrassed to be anEnglishman

I'm hoping the EU rescues the UK by not agreeing to an extension. It's well beyond the capability of the UK political class to conclude Brexit. The UK needs some outside help.

Re: I'm Embarrassed to be anEnglishman

Rees-Mogg looks a pillock. We don't usually here Corbyn on the radio out here in NZ. We are now. This week he seems to be behaving like an adult unlike Rees-Mogg and Johnson's performances in Parliament.

Yes, that's an extraordinary story. The UK cops looks awful. I hope they are sued. I suspect they were following an unlawful instruction and should have known that.

In the link:

"Human Rights Watch at the time also described the convictions as "profoundly disturbing"."

If the Thai government goes through with these executions, I hope they get all the blowback and more that seems warranted.

Re: Police state squeeze for Thailand’s expatriates

I agree on the impact of exchange rate movements. I thought the comments were entertaining. Quite a few ex-pats in Thailand are getting their knickers in a twist about this kerfuffle. I think if someone has previously had a run in with Immigration, that can really colour their views.

Re: BoJo shows his balls...

I am concerned if the UK doesn't leave the UK on 31 October it won't for years or never will. UK MPs should support the referendum's outcome. Too many refuse to do that and that sends a poor message to other nations who benchmark the state of their democracy with the UK's. I support Johnson's move.

Mally, For some reason when l type in the name of the botanical gardens at Mae Rim it defaults to ‘individual gardens’ given that the gardens are named after a member of the royal family, unsure why. Having said that, they are well worth the drive, if a senior (60+) no charge for admission. The Map...

You've dialled the big picture down a lot there statts. I think few of us would have hung out with Epstein after he got out of jail and continued to hang out with youngsters. Oh dear. I feel sorry for any similarly aged girl who gets a bit excited with your innocent son before he hits the age of consent. That kind of activity is pretty normal. Quite a few kids get sexually active in Mattayom 1 and 2. And then what about the Pell case? It's still not clear beyond all doub...

Re: 2019 AFL Season

I think that's unlikely. The MCG is a challenge for inter-state sides. I could see one inter-state side in the Grand Final but two would seem unlikely. It would, of course, be an amusing outcome. Eddie would probably have a big whinge.
