Re: Scooter driver mows down elderly couple, breaks no law

Hurting someone by carelessness is still an offense. She should be charged whether she was on a scooter, bicycle or whatever. I think even if you were running and ran into someone and injured them you would be responsible. In this case she has really hurt an old couple very badly through no fault of...

Re: Thailovelinks

Interesting thread indeed! I have not been on TLL but used Thaikisses.com a few years back. I had never been to Thailand before. In 14 days I had 93 contacts from women aged from 18 - 60. Lots of them came up with quite direct offers: "come on, just be my husband, I do everything for you" etc etc f...

Re: police corruption

The corruption here is so wide spread that it is just a way of life. Maybe just the way it is and will always be. We do have corruption in the west but we view it in a different way and usually a price to pay if caught and not openly accepted like Thailand. I would rather pay a Thai cop 200 baht for...

Re: Thailovelinks

Internet dating sites opens up a whole world of people to meet. It is good for an introduction but to get to know someone you have to spend time with them, same as if you met them personally the first time. I met the best women I could ever hope for on Tll. Three years now and we are both very happy...

Re: Safety in Udon Thani

Wow, isn't that great. The red shirts are going to be brought to justice. Too bad they weren't wearing yellow shirts then they could destroy the government buildings, shut down the international airport, severely damage the tourism industry and then get jobs with the newly appointed government. Note...

Re: Tourists to face closer monitoring

I own a house in Hua Hin, does this mean if I come to Thailand on a tourist visa I need to tell immigration in Hua Hin I am there? I usually get multiple 2 month visa's and do a border run every 2 months.

Re: Current Situation - No political debate PLEASE

On Friday there was another bombing in Bangkok. Several people injured. The government is quite concerned and think this problem will escalate. It is very sad that innocent people are getting hurt and killed like this. My gf was in Bangkok yesterday getting her visa and flying to Canada today. I tol...

Re: The Cost of Freedom

I think you have been away from your original country for a long time. Things have changed a great deal in the west, not for the good. You can go back but don't expect life to be like it was before. Very expensive, way too many laws and rules, feminism and political correctness and a lot of overworke...

Re: Are farangs inviting dislike and anger ?

As they say, When in Rome. This is Thailand, a different country and we are here because we like it the way it is, other wise we would leave. Some things I don't agree with but you have to look at the big picture and accept we are guests here and I personally feel we should try to accept things and ...

Quite often if you stay that late you will pay for a full day. You need to discuss these things before the fact, not always the same rules.

Re: State of emergency extended.

JYY...don't ask me about coups...ask the Thai people why they are too impatient to wait for the normal time frame for elections, then vote for whom they want...hopefully, their candidate will win...if not, they can use their normal responses of anarchy and violent demonstrations...of course this on...

Re: State of emergency extended.

JYY...In answer to your question...The government doesn't have to hold elections just because the Reds want it...I believe your constitution says you should conduct elections every 4 years...Another point...Your Prime Minister isn't elected by a majority of the people, unless he wins more than 50% ...
