Re: Friendly Matches !!

Vinicius Junior at 18 years old & newly imported from Flamengo (for a world record deal for an under 19 year old) for £38.7M looked the player most likely on the pitch to take over from Ronny as Bale had a disappointing outing..

Re: Supermarket prices out of control

From what I have heard the New Zealand brand, Mainland cheese issue was the same issue in Tops & Villa as well - which suggests that the issue came either from the importer quoting incorrect prices or Customs imposed an incorrect tariff rate. Having just come back from the UK, where I could purchase...

You are allowed to extend your visa exemption for up to 30 days at Udon Immigration.

You can then do a border run to the Friendship bridge & get another 15 days to get you past the 18th. September...

I couldn't see anywhere in the announcement if/how much viewers would have to pay though.

Sadly I guess after all these years of ignoring Facebook, I will have to now join it... :(

Re: 2018 World Cup in Russia

wc.png Your wishes partly became true Matt :D France were not at the level they were against Argentina but were helped by Uruguay goalkeeper Fernando Muslera not having a good game while their own keeper, Hugo Lloris, played a blinder.. Belgium stars were back on form for their game against Brazil....

Re: Linux Mint 19

Sadly (or maybe happily :D ) the Linux brotherhood has a vast range of users & creators who vary from the very liberal in what is 'proper' Linux Distribution to highly conservative about only using completely open source components. The number of current live Distributions quoted by Distrowatch as b...

Re: 2018 World Cup in Russia

It won't stop until the players get punished for it. That was where I felt the ref let the game get away from him. If he had produced a few yellow cards as soon as the nonsense started then players would either have got the message or an early bath. Sadly if you are on the receiving end & are gettin...

Re: Copier/Printer/Scanner/Fax

If you are using Windows 10 then it wasn't you at fault. Microsoft update Windows & then the original software issued by the manufacturer no longer works correctly - or, in your case, not at all. Eventually Windows would have discovered that HP had needed to update the Windows driver & then it would...

Re: 2018 World Cup in Russia

wc.png I don't think either of these games will feature much in the football guide to the 2018 World Cup. Either the Swiss or the Swedes could have won the first game when the importance of having someone who can finish became abundantly clear. The referee lost the game early on in the England matc...

Re: 2018 World Cup in Russia

It looks like the Spanish media are not too pleased with their exit.. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/44682034 I guess England will get pasted in the press if Columbia turn them over but, to be honest, at least the FA didn't sack the manager as they arrived in Russia & appoint someone with no exp...

Re: 2018 World Cup in Russia

wc.png I thought Russia were playing for the penalty shoot out from the get go. Spain had possession by the ton but never looked like doing anything with it. All in all a disappointing game to watch. I didn't see the Croatia game, but, by all reports, it was 5 minutes of fun at the start & then the...

Re: 2018 World Cup in Russia

wc.png France came good at the right time. Although it was a number of good individual efforts that saw them through rather than a team effort. Kylian Mbappé man of the match with a couple of goals. The weight of the world (well Argentina anyway) on Lionel Messi's shoulders just proved too much for...

Yes Stan, but I think that they are dependant on the Desktop you use. I am a Cinnamon fan - being an ex-Windows user - because everything seems in the 'right' place for me there. Here is a list of the Cinnamon shortcut keys. It is the Mint 18 list as I haven't seen a 19 one yet - but I suspect it wi...

Linux Mint 19

Good news for anyone looking for an alternative operating system to Microsoft Windows is that the new Long Term Support version of Linux Mint (19 - Tara) has just been released. It will be supported for updates until 2023. It is based on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, released earlier this year, & comes in 3 des...
