Re: Consolidated Jokes

A painter by the name of Paddy Murphy, while not a brilliant scholar, was a gifted portrait artist. Over a short number of years, his fame grew and soon people from all over Ireland were coming to him in the town of Doolin, County Clare, to get him to paint their likenesses. One day, a beautiful you...

Re: English Premier League 2019/20

Agree with what you are saying Tam but with the number of camera's used by the media ready to pounce on every mistake by a referee it should be used as a tool to assist ref's. If it a guys thumb or his arse that is offside that is clearly not an offside advantage and should not be seen as that. Howe...

Re: The Reasons to Reduce Reuse and then Recycle

This especially rears its head when people are asked to produce something using only what they have surrounding them. Always present from people who grew up in the Depression era and others from WW2, boy there are stories as they threw NOTHING out. Firm believer in Recycling etc sure am. My wife mus...

Just come home from shopping at Nong Han. Tesco is still giving plastic shopping bags at the checkouts but Tops have carried on with the pre-Xmas policy of no plastic bags. Still giving customers cardboard boxes from their stores area's. Was watching what reactions there were from the very large amo...

Re: The all new "Scottish Independence Referendum" thread

There have been thirty years of terrorism and more than three thousand deaths in Northern Ireland on the topic of whether or not to join with the Republic of Ireland. Has the SNP thought that there might be some fanatics in Scotland (and England) who consider a break away from the UK unacceptable? ...

Re: ClimateChange - EndTime 2050 - Disturbing Report Sheds Light on

You are right, Alex. Every country needs to sit back, and wait for the next country (sovereign state) to do something positive about the very real danger of global warming. In 50 years, when our kids/grandkids are saying WTF, and the world has tipped over, we can say sorry from our grave or ashes b...

Re: ClimateChange - EndTime 2050 - Disturbing Report Sheds Light on

Does it really matter what the West does to reduce their already virtually neutral emissions while China and India alone account for nearly 70% of all CO2 emissions world wide. Yes, it does. You have to start somewhere. And while it might not matter much, it's better than doing nothing, if only mar...

If it’s proven all this crap about CC,can anyone answer the following:-Why are people still being conned into investing in pension schemes? 5 minutes of open minded research, and you could find the answers yourself. You may find it a bit confronting. While you are at it, you could research why bank...

A recent article in the Times reported that a woman, Anita Patel, has sued a reputed Hospital, saying that after her husband had surgery there, he lost all interest in me.
*A hospital spokesman replied in court : Mr. Patel was admitted for cataract surgery. All we did was corrected his eyesight*.

Re: The all new "Scottish Independence Referendum" thread

It cannot be denied though that the SNP manifesto overwhelmingly supported another referendum and they gained a huge majority and on that basis it obviously means that the concept is hugely supported and I firmly believe the subject needs to be put to bed one way or the other. By the by it matters ...
