No idea why Southgate took off Saka. He had a brilliant first half. Stupid if you ask me.
My thoughts exactly. He was even having a better second half. Then to compound the error by replacing him with the useless Sterling. Proof that the useless Wokegate doesn't have a clue.

Re: World Cup 2022 (at the moment)

Is Messi taking the piss at PSG?

His performances at PSG have been poor causing lots of criticism as he jogs around the pitch, hardly breaking into a sweat.

At this WC he's been a different animal. Back to his best Barcelona form.

Re: World Cup 2022 (at the moment)

I'll have the pleasure of watching the games at 35,000 feet courtesy of Etihad. Never watched a game live on a flight before. It should be an interesting atmosphere. I once watched the final round of the Open live at 35.000 feet. It was the year Jordon Speith won. What made it even more surreal was...

Re: World Cup 2022 (at the moment)

Many years ago I went to a house party here in Udon. That evening there was a big game on, may have been the FA Cup Final. All the guys sat down to watch the match except one. This guy was miffed that people preferred to watch the football so he disappeared into the kitchen to talk to the women. Giv...

Re: Tony Bolton

RIP Tony. Been a while but thanks for the memories. Tony caused me no end of problems when he encouraged his wife to take up golf. I was running the local golf society at the time and as her game improved she won most weeks. This didn't go down well with some individuals who wanted me to slash her h...

Re: NO BA Flights until 2023 at LEAST !!

Out of curiosity I just went on Skyscanner to see what price my Eva return flights in September to Heathrow are?. I paid under 700 pounds a couple of months ago. Price now for the same dates, 2,160 pounds.

Re: One Time Passcode (OTP) from UK

I’m not able to receive OTP’s from my bank( Santander) in the UK. My bank assures me the code is being sent out and the problem was with my phone provider (AIS) here. AIS told me it was not them. I changed phone provider to True and I’m still having the same problem. Anybody else had similar proble...

Been looking at hire cars, my god they are expensive at the moment.
Same here. Best I've found is 25 quid a day for a new Fiat 500.

Re: Summer travel to/from the UK

If anyone's interested. Eva are doing good deals for direct return flights for Sept/Oct. Under 30,000 baht.
Convenient take-off and landing times at BKK.

That's the one Stats. I think the original owner of Udon Map attended some of the early ones. Name escapes me.

Re: Longest serving EX-Pat Residents (Brits.)in Udon Thani

Meetings of UM members started some time before the meetings at the night market. Initially they were held at the premises of those with bars / food who advertised on UM. The first meeting was in March 2005 at Mojos. There were four (possibly five) members at the first meeting. The four were Paul (...

Plugged in a return flight on Scoot for September and with a 35 kg bag add-on, it's about £670.
You can do return flight to Gatwick in Sept for 662 UK sterling with Qatar.

Re: Passport Renewal

I recently renewed my Passport using Darren and Key VISA of Pattaya. My old and new Passports were delivered to me via EMS after abut 6 weeks without my having to leave the house, ideal during these uncertain times. All valid visa stamps transferred to my new Passport at Udon Immigration. I'd say "...
